An aggregate virtual circuit multi-link frame relay-based platform can detect connection of at least one constituent virtual circuit to at least a second aggregate virtual circuit and then, prior to initiating ordinary use of that detected connection, automatically transmit, via each detected connection, an identifier to that second aggregate virtual circuit. The latter can then use that identifier to facilitate confirming that the detected connections represent a logical coupling that is at least substantially consistent with a physical coupling as between these two aggregate virtual circuits. This identifier can comprise, for example, an identifier for the aggregate virtual circuit itself or even, if desired, a globally unique identifier that uniquely and separately identifies each constituent virtual circuit. By one approach, when an aggregate virtual circuit determines that the logical coupling is not substantially consistent with the physical coupling, a predetermined action can be responsively taken.

The present invention relates to methods of producing industrial products from plant lipids, particularly from vegetative parts of plants. In particular, the present invention provides oil products such as biodiesel and synthetic diesel and processes for producing these, as well as plants having an increased level of one or more non-polar lipids such as triacylglycerols and an increased total non-polar lipid content. In one particular embodiment, the present invention relates to combinations of modifications in two or more of lipid handling enzymes, oil body proteins, decreased lipid catabolic enzymes and/or transcription factors regulating lipid biosynthesis to increase the level of one or more non-polar lipids and/or the total non-polar lipid content and/or mono-unsaturated fatty acid content in plants or any part thereof. In an embodiment, the present invention relates to a process for extracting lipids. In another embodiment, the lipid is converted to one or more hydrocarbon products in harvested plant vegetative parts to produce alkyl esters of the fatty acids which are suitable for use as a renewable biodiesel fuel.

The present invention relates generally to the field of recombinant fatty acid synthesis, particularly in transgenic plants. The application describes genes involved in fatty acid synthesis and provides methods and vectors for the manipulation of fatty acid composition of plant oils. In particular, the invention provides constructs for achieving the integration of multiple heterologous genes involved in fatty acid synthesis into the plant genome, such that the resulting plants produce altered levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Also described are methods for enhancing the expression of fatty acid biosynthesis enzymes by co-expressing a silencing suppressor within the plant storage organ.

The present invention provides an RP system which can directly use hot melt polymers for fabricating porous 3D construct for cell culture and other biomedical applications based on a CAD design. To realize the direct use of polymer hot melt, the RP system uses a hot melt chamber which is mounted on a robotic dispensing ann or a XYZ motion control system. The hot melt chamber is equipped with a delivery mechanism to force the molten polymer passing through a nozzle. The extruded polymer thin filament deposits onto the positions according to the computer generated model, in a layer-by-layer fashion, similar to FDM. The present invention can use any type of thennal plastic polymer pellets, beads, particles, which are suitable for extrusion and injection molding, as well as composites of two or more different thermal plastic polymer blends, inorganic particle/thennal plastic composites.
