摘要: The present invention is directed to a pour spout fitment that has an enlarged spout opening thereby making it less susceptible to double pouring and advantageous for dispensing new flowable product forms such as gels. The pour spout opening is large relative to the bottle opening which is equated with the fitment's circumscribing wall. Accordingly, the pour spout fitment is less susceptible to double pouring and may also be useful for pouring more viscous product forms such as gels.

The present invention provides an infusion container 10 with multiple chambers, which is formed from a thermoplastic resin film and has a plurality of medicament chambers 11 and 12 for housing medicaments, wherein the medicaments chambers 11 and 12 are liquid-tightly sealed by a peelable weak seal part 15, the weak seal part 15 is formed to have a plurality of melt-bonding parts different in the melt-bonding strength, the strong melt-bonding part having a largest melt-bonding strength among these melt-bonding parts is dispersed and distributed in the weak seal part 15, and the total occupied area of the strong melt-bonding part is less than 25% of the area of the weak seal part 15.

摘要: An extrusion method and apparatus for producing a cable including at least one core having at least one transmissive element and at least one pair of coating layers arranged at a radially outer position with respect to the core. At least one coating layer of polymeric material and one coating layer of expanded polymeric material are deposited by co-extrusion simultaneously and residual pressure not greater than the external pressure is maintained in a substantially annular interspace defined between the coating layers. The method avoids the formation of bubbles at the interface between the at least one coating layer of polymeric material and the coating layer of expanded polymeric material, attaining an optimal adhesion between the layers.

摘要: A process is provided for extruding a bimodal polyethylene resin. The process includes providing a polyethylene homopolymer or copolymer resin having a bimodal molecular weight distribution; conveying the resin through an extruder having a feed zone in which the resin is not melted, a melt-mixing zone in which at least a portion of the resin is melted, and a melt zone in which the resin is in a molten state, each zone being partially filled with the resin; and contacting the molten resin in the melt zone with a gas mixture of 8 to 40% by volume O2. The resin can be further pelletized. The oxygen-tailored resin can be used to make polyethylene films having improved bubble stability.

摘要: The invention relates to a packaging material made of a multilayer oriented polyolefin film, which comprises a base layer and at least one first outer layer, whereby the first outer layer is placed in contact with itself or in contact with the opposing surface of the film or in contact with the surface of another film. This first outer layer contains an additive which absorbs light within the wavelength range of a laser such that when the film is locally irradiated by the laser, the area of irradiation experiences an increase in temperature that causes the polyolefin of the first outer layer to soften or melt in the irradiated area and to bond to another layer when cooled.

摘要: A method and system for assessing proper pre-processing and proper welding of polymer workpieces. A visible or infrared radiation source, optionally coupled with optical filters, directs radiation at test wavelengths through a workpiece which is captured by sensors at one or more stations. The system controller determines from the sensor data whether the absorber dye was properly deposited onto the workpiece. The workpiece is then certified weld-enabled within a bandwidth range of the test wavelength. The bandwidth range is determined by absorption spectra and extinction coefficients of the dye or by utilizing multiple test wavelengths. For determining whether proper welds occurred, a further embodiment of the method and system check for spectral characteristics that the dye vehicle did not unduly interfere or occlude the weld. Further spectral data indicates fusing of reflective surfaces, increased transmission and increase photopic transmission.
