Abstract:
The present invention relates to a curing agent for moisture-curing compositions which includes at least one aqueous emulsion of at least one epoxy resin. Curing agents according to the invention are especially used for the accelerated curing of moisture-curing compositions which are based on polyurethane polymers that have isocyanate groups or of silane-functional polymers.
Abstract:
An adhesive composition for a pre-applied underfill sealant comprising: (a) a radical polymerizable monomer having one or more functional groups selected from the group consisting of vinyl group, maleimide group, acryloyl group, methacryloyl group and allyl group, (b) a polymer having a polar group, (c) a filler, and (d) a thermal radical initiator.
Abstract:
A laminate body includes a base material, a film-like or a membrane-like undercoat layer that is formed in at least a portion of the outer surface of the base material, and an atomic layer deposition film that is formed on a surface opposite to a surface coming into contact with the base material among both surfaces of the undercoat layer in the thickness direction thereof. At least a portion of precursors of the atomic layer deposition film bind to the undercoat layer, and the atomic layer deposition film is formed into a membrane shape covering the undercoat layer.
Abstract:
A bond adhesive composition comprising a polymer having a silicon-containing hydrolyzable terminal group and a hydrocarbon resin, where the composition is substantially devoid of phenolic resin.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure describe ambient temperature pressing (“cold pressing”) of a wood-based product using protein/PAE adhesives within industrially suitable set times and press pressures. A method includes preparing an adhesive comprising a protein source and polyamideamine-epichlorohydrin (PAE) resin, applying the adhesive to one or more wood-based components, and cold pressing the one or more wood-based components to form a wood-based structure, the cold pressing being the only pressing operation in the formation of the wood-based structure after applying the adhesive to the one or more wood-based components. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a polymer comprising quaternary ammonium and/or quaternary phosphonium groups bound to the backbone of the polymer, said quaternary ammonium groups and/or quaternary phosphonium groups being neutralised by counter-ions, wherein the counter-ions consist of the anionic residue of an acid having an aliphatic, aromatic, or alkaryl hydrocarbon group comprising 6 or more carbon atoms. The invention further relates to the preparation of this polymer, its use in anti-fouling compositions, and to anti-fouling compositions comprising the polymer.
Abstract:
A bioadhesive composition for bonding together adjacent surfaces of wood comprises a microbially-produced fermentation residue containing adherent microbial cells and glycocalyx. This residue finds particular application as a replacement for a significant amount of phenol-formaldehyde (PF) or other conventional adhesive component commonly used in the production of plywood and other wood products.

Abstract:
Positionally isomeric diethyloctanediol dicarbamates and diethyloctanediol diallophanates, processes for preparing them, and their use as synthesis building blocks and constituents of adhesives, sealing compounds, and coating materials.
Abstract:
Adhesion promoters, adhesive compositions, and adhesive films that adhere well to polar materials contain the product of a reaction between a polyolefin grafted with an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, and a polymeric and/or oligomeric polyamine. The reaction product may be blended with an ethylene polymer, such as a low density polyethylene, to form an adhesive composition that bonds well to polar substrates, such as polyurethane foam. The adhesive compositions may be extruded or cast to form adhesive films.
