    摘要： Apparatus for attenuating the amplitude of a time-variant property of a fluid stream which comprises an enclosed volume, wherein the enclosed volume includes a mixing zone having an inlet and three or more outlets; piping means for introducing an inlet fluid stream into the inlet of the mixing zone; and piping means for withdrawing from the mixing zone three or more individual fluid portions through the three or more outlets and combining the three or more individual fluid portions into an outlet fluid stream. The distance between at least one pair of adjacent outlets may be different than the distance between another pair of adjacent outlets, and the distance between adjacent outlets may decrease as the distance of each outlet from the inlet increases.

    摘要： A power supply for a video display tube includes a deflection transformer with a primary winding powered with a scan voltage which has a first value when displaying signal according to a first video standard and a second voltage when displaying video according to a second standard. A secondary winding of the transformer produces filament voltage for the display tube. A variable coupler couples the filament voltage to the filament of the picture tube in an amount established by a control signal. A memory produces a first control signal in response to the first scan voltage and a second control signal in response to the second scan voltage. The first and second control signals are selected so that the voltage coupled from the transformer to the filament is the same at both scan voltages.

    摘要： A height reduced rotary voice coil actuator assembly includes an E-block defining one or more vertically aligned short tines. Fastened to each short tine are one or two elongated tine extenders. The tine extender-short tine connection occurs outside the region above and below the data storage disks. A peg-leg load beam having tabs adapted to receive wires having no protective plastic tubing is connected to each tine extender. The wires are bonded directly to the tabs and provide electrical communication between data transducer heads located on the load beam and drive electronics. A swage boss formed in the tine extender faces outwardly in the same direction as a data transducer head assembly supported by the peg-leg load beam. Each short tine is substantially coplanar with an associated data storage disk and lies beyond the outer periphery thereof. The resulting in-line rotary actuator achieves substantial vertical or Z height compaction.

    摘要： A universal disk controller for microprocessor systems is capable of use as a PCI interface with either SCSI drives or IDE drives. To effect selection of the appropriate one of the IDE or SCSI drives for use with the interface, a configuration logic circuit is coupled with a PCI bus master interface to select an IDE state machine or an SCSI state machine, both of which are coupled with a combined IDE/SCSI interface having common pins for connection to the appropriate IDE or SCSI drive for operation with the controller. Consequently, separate chips for providing interfaces between a PCI bus and either an IDE or an SCSI drive are not required. The system permits switching between IDE and SCSI drives according to the application with which it is being used.
