Abstract: Embodiments of a system and method for transmitting data from an access point in a multiple user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) system are provided. A first indication of signal quality (ISQ) is received at the access point from a first station and a second ISQ is received from a second station. The access point sets a first power level and a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for transmission of a first aggregated media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (A-MPDU) to the first station as a function of the first ISQ and an amount of payload data corresponding to the first A-MPDU. The access point also sets a second power level and a second MCS for transmission of a second A-MPDU as a function of the second ISQ and an amount of payload data corresponding to the second A-MPDU.

Abstract: A system and method for distributed scheduling of transmissions between device-to-device (D2D) communications is disclosed. The distributed scheduling method employs a distributed scheduling structure in which device identifiers rather than connection identifiers are used to enable scheduling of a D2D data transfer between devices in a wireless neighborhood. The novel distributed scheduling structure is scalable to a larger number of D2D devices than is feasible with a connection identifier-based tone matrix.

The processing circuitry is to: decode at least one signal field portion of a signal field of a Physical Layer Convergence Protocol (PLCP) Data Unit (PPDU) received over a bonded channel, the bonded channel comprising a plurality of subchannels including a punctured subchannel, the signal field portion on at least one unpunctured subchannel of the plurality of subchannels; determine, from the at least one signal field portion, information on a resource allocation for the device, the resource allocation indicating at least one resource unit (RU) used in a data field of the PPDU for the device; and decode a data field portion of the data field of the PPDU, the data field portion received on a part of the punctured subchannel based on the resource allocation.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to long training field (LTF) sequence security protection. A device may determine a null data packet (NDP) frame comprising one or more fields. The device may determine a first long training field (LTF) and a second LTF, the first LTF and the second LTF being associated with a first frequency band of the NDP frame, wherein time domain LTF symbols of first LTF and the second LTF are generated using different LTF sequences. The device may determine a third LTF and a fourth LTF, the third LTF and the fourth LTF being associated with the a second frequency band of the NDP frame, wherein time domain LTF symbols of third LTF and the fourth LTF are generated using different LTF sequences. The device may cause to send the NDP frame to an initiating or a responding device. The device may cause to send a location measurement report (LMR) frame to the initiating or the responding device, wherein the LMR comprises timing information associated with the first frequency band and the second frequency band.

Abstract: An apparatus may include a transmitter arranged to wirelessly transmit channel status reports for channels within a transmission band to a base station and a processor. The apparatus may further include a rank adaptation (RA) module operable on the processor to direct the transmitter to send a multiplicity of sub-band channel quality indicator (CQI) reports, each sub-band CQI report comprising a measurement of a respective sub-band of the transmission band and a multiplicity of rank indicator (RI) reports, where each sub-band CQI report is accompanied by an RI report. The apparatus may further include a digital display arranged to display information transmitted via the base station to the apparatus. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.

Abstract: Technology for an eNodeB operable to maintain timing advance groups (TAGs) is disclosed. The eNodeB can form a timing advance group (TAG) for one or more serving cells. The eNodeB can map each of the one or more serving cells to the TAG using signaling from the eNodeB. The eNodeB can assign a timing advance group identifier (TAG ID) to the one or more serving cells mapped to the TAG.
