摘要: An antenna comprises a coil element, a first metallic plate element, a second metallic plate element and terminals. The first metallic plate element and the second metallic plate element each have the shape of a triangle or an isosceles trapezoid. Further, the first metallic plate element and the second metallic plate element are mirror symmetric with respect to a symmetry plane that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The antenna provides a wider area of use at small size and can thus be used for different transmission technologies, such as NFC and UWB.

摘要: According to an embodiment, a radiating structure of a resonating structure used for plasma processing is disclosed. The radiating structure includes a set of first arms and a set of second arms. Each first arm has a first inductance and is coupled to a respective first capacitor and a respective second capacitor of the resonating structure to form a corresponding first resonant circuit operating at a first resonance frequency. Each second arm has a second inductance and is coupled to a respective third capacitor and a respective fourth capacitor of the resonating structure to form a corresponding second resonant circuit operating at a second resonance frequency. In a first mode of operation, the resonating structure operates as a single resonance antenna. In a second mode of operation, the resonating structure operates as a parallel resonance antenna.

摘要: A system is described for distributing over the air (OTA) channels within buildings and homes. The system can implement one or more active multi-mode antennas for improved performance and reliability. The system can be configured as a mesh network where multiple nodes are distributed to improve the probability of channel capture across the VHF and UHF frequencies used for over the air TV distribution. A node consists of a beam steering antenna that operates at the VHF and UHF frequencies for TV signal reception, a receiver and demodulation circuit, a transcoder to convert the received information for re-distribution, and a transceiver capable of operation at a secondary frequency band for use in re-distributing the information to communication devices in proximity of the node. The secondary frequency band can be the common WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) system such as Wi-Fi, with the Wi-Fi transceiver also containing beam steering antennas for improved in-building propagation of the re-distributed information.

摘要: Techniques are provided for utilizing a hybrid of ultra-wideband (UWB) and narrowband (NB) signaling to provide more efficient operating range and operating efficiency. In one example, a first device may transmit a first packet via an NB signal to a second device, whereby the first packet comprises information indicating to the second device a time period for reception of a second (UWB) packet. In this example, the second packet may comprise a first partition and a second partition, whereby the first partition comprises a first plurality of fragments and the second partition comprising a second plurality of fragments. The respective fragments of each plurality of fragments may be transmitted via a UWB signal. The first device may then transmit the first plurality of fragments, and then subsequently transmit the second plurality of fragments to the second device, the first and second pluralities respectively being associated with different fragment types.

The suggested antenna module comprises: a first antenna having a first radiation pattern resonating in a first frequency band; and a second antenna disposed on one surface of the first antenna and having a second radiation pattern resonating in a UWB frequency band different from the first frequency band. The first antenna includes a base substrate on which the first radiation pattern is formed and an extension substrate extending outward from the base substrate, and the second antenna is disposed on the upper surface of the extension substrate.

摘要: A device, method and computer program product enable an automatic locking/unlocking of a user device such as a computer workstation or laptop based on accurate location and authentication of wearable device. A device interface of the device couples to a second device that has a locked state configurable to an unlocked state by the device. The device receives, via an antenna assembly and an UWB transceiver, UWB signals from a third device, the antenna assembly comprising two or more antennas spaced in a support structure as one of a two-dimensional (2D) or a three-dimensional (3D) antenna array. The device determines a location of the third device based on a range and an angle of arrival of the received UWB signals. In response to determining that the location is within an unlock space of the second device, the device communicates an unlock command to the second device.
