摘要： A method for preparing a sorbent composition includes the steps of: (i) applying, from a solution or a slurry, a layer of a copper compound on the surface of a support material, and (ii) drying the coated support material, wherein the thickness of the copper compound layer on the dried support is in the range 1-200 μm. The precursor may be converted to a sorbent suitable for removing heavy metals from liquids or gases by applying one or more sulphur compounds to sulphide the copper compound and form CuS.

摘要： An exothermic oxidation process wherein a rotating bed containing a variable oxidation state material is cycled through a succession of stages including an oxidative regeneration stage including a step wherein an oxidising fluid is passed through the bed, and a reaction stage wherein feedstock is passed through the bed, whereby said feedstock is oxidised to give products stream with the concurrent reduction of the convertible material to its lower oxidation state. The process can further include a stage wherein cooling fluid is passed through the bed.

摘要： A hydrocarbon feedstock is cracked, and then the cracker product is compressed and separated into various hydrocarbon fractions including a stream containing hydrocarbons more highly unsaturated than mono-olefins.
