摘要: Multiple cell layers are formed with one cell layer formed on another cell layer. A carrier is provided having an alginate gel layer formed on a porous membrane. An extracellular matrix component gel layer or extracellular matrix component sponge layer may be formed on the alginate gel layer. A cell layer is formed on the alginate gel layer, or the extracellular matrix component gel layer or extracellular matrix component sponge layer. The alginate gel layer is solubilized such as with a chelating agent to exfoliate the cell layer from the porous membrane, and the exfoliated cell layer is placed on another cell layer on a carrier. The number of cell layers formed on each other may be 1-10, preferably 1-5, and more preferably 1-3.

摘要: Decellularization of tissue by means of an amphipathic solvent a well-established practice. However, situations exist where the provision of enhanced decellularization is preferred. There is a demand for treating methods for coping with such situations. Thus, it is intended to provide a method for enhancing decellularization. The method comprises not only the immersing of a tissue in a solution containing an amphiphilic molecule in non-micellar form (for example, 1,2-epoxide polymer) but also performing a radical reaction (for example, treatment selected from the group consisting of exposure to gamma-ray irradiation, ultraviolet irradiation, a free radical supply source, ultrasonication, electron beam irradiation, and X-ray irradiation).

摘要: An objective of the present invention is to overcome a problem that there is an inverse relationship between the decellularization rate and the strength of tissue. This problem was solved by immersing tissue in a solution containing a non-micellar amphipathic molecule (e.g., a 1,2-epoxide polymer). Thus, the present invention provides decellularized tissue, in which the cell survival rate of the tissue is less than a level at which calcification or an immune reaction is elicited in an organism and the tissue damage rate of the tissue is suppressed to a level which permits clinical applications. Tissue prepared by the above-described treatment preferably retains a certain level of tissue strength. Further, the tissue of the present invention has an effect of performing cell replacement.

摘要: A semiconductor device improved in IC card function is disclosed. An external connecting terminal for extended interface not conforming to ISO/IEC7816-3 is disposed on a first main surface of a card chip and in an area sandwiched in between two rows of external connecting terminals for interface conforming to ISO/IEC7816-3 which is for IC card function. With this layout, the memory card function and other electronic circuit functions can be incorporated into the card chip and hence it is possible to improve the function of the card chip.

摘要: A chemical sensor utilizing a chemical receptor (for example, one stimulating the sense of taste or smell) is provided. More specifically speaking, such a receptor is introduced into cells and the cells are immobilized on a support to form a chip. This chip is then employed as a component of a sensor. This sensor shows a reaction almost the same as the body's perception of the taste or smell or sense, thereby enabling analysis. Thus, it is also usable as an artificial sensory organ. Moreover, this sensor is usable in diagnosis, which imparts a high industrial usefulness to it.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for detecting nerve stem cells/progenitor cells among a tissue or a mass of cells as constituted of a plurality of cell species, and a method for screening for a drug functioning as a nerve differentiation factor or the like by using the above-mentioned detection method. It was found in this invention that the expression of the NC1 gene was high in undifferentiated nerve stem cells and said expression decreased with an advance of differentiation. Furthermore in this invention, by using the NC1 gene, the product thereof (NC1 protein) and the base sequences or the amino acid sequences thereof, antibodies or the like, it became possible to detect nerve stem cells/progenitor cells by way of various methods, so that a novel method for screening for a drug functioning as a nerve differentiation factor or the like was provided.
