    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for recycling electronic waste in the form of disassembled printed circuit boards from electronic devices, from which the components have not been removed, known as printed circuit boards. After removal of the batteries, mercury switches and PCB-containing capacitors, the printed circuit boards are mechanically precomminuted and the particles are cryogenically embrittled with liquid nitrogen and comminuted in a hammermill. In order to obtain a higher purity of the recovered metal concentrates and, conversely, a lower metal content of the concentrated residue materials as well as less emission during recycling and a simpler process, the cryogenically embrittled particles are selectively comminuted batchwise in a hammermill, wherein the ground material is divided into a fine fraction, emerging from a sieve at the bottom of the grinding chamber, and a coarser metallic fraction, which can be discharged batchwise and from which iron particles can subsequently be magnetically removed. The fine fraction is sorted into several narrow-band size classes with a particle size of about 1:1.6 per size class. Each individual size class of particles can be separately separated with corona-roller separators into residue material particles and metal particles. The latter can then be divided into different metal classes.

    Abstract: An apparatus for injection molding composite articles from two materials includes a rotary mold block carrying a two material mold half between a first material mold half and a second material mold half; the rotary block providing, in sequence, a first material mold cavity and a composite material mold cavity in which latter cavity the second material is injected over, and preferably in positive engagement with, the first material. Core pins are carried in the rotary block which includes means to index the pins for providing core areas in the first material and subsequently retracting the pins so that the second material can flow into the core areas for positive engagement of the composite molded materials.

    Abstract: A combination stratifier and sifter comprising at least one reciprocating porous table which delivers material to the sifter. A first deflector having a concave surface on its downstream side is arranged upstream and spaced above the table. A second Vshaped deflector arranged downstream of the first deflector forms part of a casing having an open side adjacent and spaced from the table. A blower directs air through the table and on both sides of the second deflector thereby blowing lights up the concave surface of the first deflector and setting up an eddy current within the casing.     Abstract: The materials to be treated, for instance, molded resin articles with resin films coated thereon are treated by relatively simple means to separate and remove the resin film coatings from the surfaces thereof, and are further treated to recover them as a raw-form of resin material or a resin material regulated such that its particle diameter lies within a given particle diameter range, or the materials to be treated, for instance, powder materials are pulverized and granulated. A molded resin article is crushed to small pieces, to which compression impacts based on fine vibrations are in turn applied for squeezing, and resin film coatings separated off the small pieces are removed. The thus treated small pieces are further re-pulverized, and frictional crushing impacts are applied to the thus pulverized pieces as well for polishing and size-regulation. Alternatively, directional fine vibrations are applied to one of the inner and outer compression impact surfaces of inner and outer compression impact members that are located in opposition to each other with a given gap between them to pulverize and squeeze the material to be treated that is fed between the compression impact surfaces, thereby separating surface thin films therefrom for granulation.
