摘要： A protective packaging formation device is disclosed herein. The protective packaging formation device can include an inflation assembly having a fluid conduit that directs fluid between first and second overlapping plies of a web material and a sealing mechanism. The sealing mechanism can include a heating zone of the sealing mechanism operable to heat the plies to create a longitudinal heat seal that seals the first and second plies together as the web is driven over the heating zone in a downstream direction. The sealing mechanism can also include a pinch zone that overlaps longitudinally with the heating zone. The pinch zone defined by an isolation element that applies a first pressure to the web material along a first region. The pinch zone is also defined by a support structure and a compression element that applies a second pressure to the web material there-between along a second region transverse to the first region.

摘要： Disclosed is a masking article such as a masking tape, roll of masking tape, masking sheet, etc. that has a substrate or backing with a primer layer on a first major surface thereof and a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive layer on the primer layer such that the primer layer is positioned between the backing and the adhesive layer. The masking article is able to adhere to a semi-permanent release composition at greater than about 10 oz/in as measured with a 90° peel test to stainless steel with a 4.5 lb roll down. A method of masking a mold having a semi-permanent release applied thereto with the disclosed masking article is disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing a mold having the semi-permanent release agent applied thereto and applying a masking article to an area of the mold with the masking article at least partially adhered to the semi-permanent release agent.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a process of thermoforming an acrylic polymer containing sheet by heating the sheet in a mold which comprises (a) a foam which would degrade if in contact with the heated sheet and (b) a thermal barrier which is intermediate the sheet and foam to prevent the foam from degrading. In many applications, the resulting article can be used without removal of the foam. Also, the foam can serve to protect the acrylic sheet such as during long distance shipping.

摘要： A method for increasing the adhesion between the first surface of a first web-type material and a first surface of a second web-type material, the first web-type material and the second web-type material being supplied to a lamination nip continuously and with the same direction of the web. In said nip, the first surface of the first web-type material and of the second web-type material are laminated together and both first surfaces are treated with a plasma over the whole surface. The lamination nip is formed by a pressure roller and a counter-pressure roller and at least one of the surfaces of the rollers or both are equipped with a dielectric. The plasma or the corona is produced by a nozzle. The first web-type material comprises an adhesive compound layer arranged in the first web-type material such as to form the first surface of the first web-type material.
