    摘要： A golf cart vehicle is disclosed having a suspension that includes a single suspension device that provides for a plurality of functions. In one embodiment the single suspension device includes a plurality of transverse mounted leaf springs that are longitudinally spaced apart from one another to provide a spring and control arm combined effect. The leaf springs can be coupled to a wheel, such as through a steering knuckle via a ball and socket joint. The leaf springs can further be mounted to a chassis via clamps. In one embodiment the clamps are connected to the leaf springs through resilient bushings which can be spaced apart from one another to provide an anti-roll bar effect.

The steering system includes a first axle, a second axle, a tie bar that extends between first and second tie bar ends, and a slider. The first and second axles are pivotally coupled with respect to the beam. The tie bar is operably coupled to the first and second axles and includes a second elongated slot that is configured to overlie the first elongated slot. The slider is positioned in the first and second elongated slots, and is configured to move in the first and second elongated slots to select a ratio of the tilting of the mounting member to the steering of the first and second axles.

    摘要： A go-kart drive assembly with an internal combustion engine in the form of a reciprocating-piston or rotary-piston engine as a power source is described. The drive assembly includes a spur-gear reduction gearing between the internal combustion engine and a rear-wheel drive shaft of the go-kart. The spur-gear reduction gearing and the crank shaft (17) of the reciprocating engine or the engine shaft of the rotary-piston engine (17a) are accommodated in a common housing (10) that is preferably closed. The space or spaces (a, b) between the shafts of the spur-gear reduction gearing (27, 29; 30, 33) is fixed in the housing (10) so as to be invariable. The driving gear wheel (27) of the gearing (26) is mounted on the crank shaft (17) or the engine shaft (17a) and the driven gear wheel (33) of the gearing (26) is mounted on the rear-wheel drive shaft (6).

The steering geometry of the vehicle is arranged such that, for the radially outer steerable wheel with reference to a turning centre, a castor angle of the kingpin axis increases and the kingpin axis is inclined into the turn as the steering member (6) pivots and the outer steerable wheel is lifted upwards forcing the chassis (1) down whereby a downward force is exerted through the chassis (1) to a non-steerable wheel (4) that is the radially outer with reference to the turning center.

    摘要： A go-kart construction uses a unibody construction wherein the body serves as a part of the suspension as well. The molded body is made from a flexible yet resilient material such as fiberglass or a suitable plastic such that it has sufficient flexion about a longitudinal axis to allow some twisting deformity without sagging when a passenger is supported in the vehicle. The forward suspension is mounted only to the forward portion of the molded body and includes a transverse member on which vertical bearings for the steerable guidance wheels are mounted, however, the transverse member is connected to the flexible body only by a pair of longitudinally extending members which are freely rotatably connected to the transverse member at their forward ends.
