摘要： A process for lowering the carbon content in ash includes introducing the ash having a carbon content of 1 to 20 wt-% into a reactor where the ash is burnt at a temperature between 700 and 1100° C. Fuel is also introduced into the reactor. During combustion, microwave radiation is fed into the reactor. At least part of the energy released during the combustion is recovered.

摘要： An environment-friendly corpse treatment apparatus comprises: a drying portion for removing moisture contained in a corpse; a pulverization portion for applying an impact to the moisture-removed corpse to pulverize the same into small pieces; and a foreign matter separation portion for separating a foreign matter contained in the pulverized corpse. The corpse loaded at the drying portion is dried in a vacuum state. The apparatus is environmentally friendly since a pollutant such as a toxic exhaust gas or dioxin is not generated, soil is not contaminated when a corpse is buried. A treated corpse is appropriate for natural burial or woodland burial since the treated corpse can be used as a nutrient. A corpse can be used as manure or feed if the corpse is animal waste.

A treatment chamber is used to remediate off-gases from an emission source by passing the off-gases through a susceptor matrix, the matrix being exposed to microwave radiation. The separating of the crucible form the cavity walls by unmelted material gives significant advantages in case of cleaning and reduced energy consumption.

摘要： A materials treatment system which initially separates liquid and solid components with a separator. The system can be advantageously utilized for household sewage handling, however various components have other applications. Once the separator separates the solids and liquids, a fire tube combusts the solids with microwaves. The liquids exiting the separator are treated in a liquid treatment system which includes additional particle filtration/separation, treatment of the liquids with an oxidant liquid, and an ultraviolet treatment. An advantageous microwave cavity assembly is also provided for dehydration/combustion of solids exiting the separator and/or for solids filtered from liquids in the liquid treatment system.
