摘要: Method and system subject matter deals with predicting delirium in patients. As many as 80% of critically ill patients develop delirium increasing the need for institutionalization and resulting in higher morbidity and mortality. Clinicians detect less than 40% of delirium when using a validated screening tool. EEG is the criterion standard but is resource intensive thus not feasible for widespread delirium monitoring. This disclosure uses limited-lead rapid-response EEG and supervised deep learning methods with vision transformer to predict delirium. Vision transformer with rapid-response EEG is capable of predicting delirium. Such monitoring is feasible in critically ill older adults, for improving delirium detection accuracy, and providing greater opportunity for individualized interventions. Benefits may shorten hospital length of stay, increase discharge to home, decrease mortality, and reduce the financial burden associated with delirium.

摘要: Systems, devices and methods for advanced electrode management in neurological monitoring applications include receiving sockets configured to receive connectors having groups of electrodes. The physician is not required to manually map each electrode with its corresponding input channel. Electrodes are coupled to the corresponding input channels in groups through connectors having a unique identification (ID). The system is configured to read the unique ID of each connector and establish its identity. Based on the ID, the system configures itself to automatically correlate or associate each electrode with its corresponding input channel when the connectors are first inserted into the receiving sockets, and again if the connectors are removed and re-inserted into different positions in the receiving sockets, to insure the electrodes are always mapped to the same input channels.

摘要: A system response of an individual listener's brain to a sound signal stimulus is estimated. The system response represents the generation of an electroencephalography signal measured at a given measuring point of the listener's head by the sound signal stimulus. A sound signal with the sound signal stimulus is presented to the ear of the listener. An audio signal corresponding to the sound signal is generated, and audio signal data is extracted from the audio signal with a measuring electrode that measures an electroencephalography training signal. A measurement data set is generated from the first electroencephalography training signal. A noise signal is measured on the listener's head while the first sound signal impinges on the listener's ear. A Gaussian conditional probability density function taken as the system response of the listener's brain to the sound signal stimulus, with respect to the given measurement point.

摘要: The present invention relates to the acquisition, processing, and monitoring of signals, and particularly to the acquisition, processing, and monitoring of electrophysiological signals. More particularly, the present invention relates to the acquisition, processing, and monitoring electroencephalography (EEG) signals representing cortical/brain activity. Further, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for acquiring such signals in the presence of electrical interference and noise. More particularly, the present invention relates to systems and methods for filtering out and rejecting electrical interference and noise while maintaining or improving the quality of the underlying physiological signal and preventing perturbation or introduction of artifacts into the physiological signal.
