SOLUTION: This controller for the vehicle driving device includes a stand-by control means 106 for switching and controlling the differential condition change-over device (CO, BO) into stand-by control based on a switching line diagram provided with a stand-by region where the differential condition change-over device (CO, BO) is put in a condition immediately before starting its engagement between a differential region and a lock region. When the differential condition change-over device (CO, BO) enters the stand-by region from the differential region, this device gets into the condition immediately before starting its engagement. Consequently, the differential condition change-over device (CO, BO) has sufficient torque capacity immediately after engine torque is increased, and the reduction of durability of this device can be prevented.
