    Abstract: A light emitting device includes: a substrate including a base member including an upper surface, a lower surface and one or more lateral surfaces, and defining a recess that is opened at the upper surface and the lateral surfaces and surrounds an outer perimeter of the upper surface; a first light emitting element; a second light emitting element; a light guide member covering the first and the second light emitting elements and the upper surface of the base member; and a first reflective member having a closed-ring shape surrounding the upper surface of the base member and the light guide member, a portion of the first reflective member being located in the recess. At least one of the lateral surfaces of the base member and corresponding at least one of one or more outer lateral surfaces of the first reflective member are in the same plane.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a substrate including a base member including a front surface, a rear surface opposite to the front surface, a bottom surface perpendicular to the front surface, and a top surface opposite to the bottom surface, a first wiring portion located on the front surface, and a second wiring portion located on the rear surface; a light emitting element electrically connected with the first wiring portion; and a first reflective member covering a lateral surface of the light emitting element and the front surface of the base member.     Abstract: A wavelength converting member comprising a first wavelength converting layer containing: a first fluorescent material having a light emission peak wavelength in a range of 620 nm or more and 660 nm or less; a second fluorescent material having a light emission peak wavelength in a range of 510 nm or more and 560 nm or less; and a resin, wherein the average particle diameter, as measured according to a Fisher Sub-Sieve Sizer method, of the first fluorescent material is in a range of 2 μm or more and 30 μm or less, wherein the second fluorescent material comprises a β-SiAlON fluorescent material, the circularity of the β-SiAlON fluorescent material is 0.7 or more, and the volume average particle diameter, as measured according to a laser diffraction scattering particle size distribution measuring method, of the β-SiAlON fluorescent material is in a range of 2 μm or more and 30 μm or less, and wherein the thickness of the first wavelength converting layer is in a range of 50 μm or more and 200 μm or less.

    Abstract: A light emitting device including a molded package having leads including a pair of a first lead and a second lead, a molded resin, and a recess, where an upper surface of the leads is partially exposed from a bottom surface of the recess. The device further including a light emitting component mounted on the bottom surface, and at least one sealing member located in the recess to cover the light emitting component. At least one of the first lead and the second lead has a groove on an upper surface thereof, where the groove is positioned so as to correspond to a corner on the bottom surface of the recess in a cross sectional view. A portion of the molded resin located within the groove is exposed from the bottom surface. A surface of the corner is composed of a curved surface, and the sealing member covers the corner.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes first and second light emitting elements, first and second color conversion material layers, a support member and a light reflective member. The first color conversion material layer has a first color conversion surface facing a first light extraction surface of the first light emitting element. The second color conversion material layer has a second color conversion surface facing a second light extraction surface of the second light emitting element. The support member supports the first and second color conversion material layers. The light reflective member covers a first side surface of the first light emitting element and a second side surface of the second light emitting element.
