Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring use, determining risk, and pricing insurance policies for a vehicle having one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, the operating status of the features, the identity of a vehicle operator, risk levels for operation of the vehicle by the vehicle operator, or damage to the vehicle may be determined based upon sensor or other data. According to further aspects, decisions regarding transferring control between the features and the vehicle operator may be made based upon sensor data and information regarding the vehicle operator. Additional aspects may recommend or install updates to the autonomous operation features based upon determined risk levels. Some aspects may include monitoring transportation infrastructure and communicating information about the infrastructure to vehicles.

Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for eliminating false activation of components of a vehicle when the vehicle is parked in a garage. Example components can be a door lock, a door latch, a door activation servomotor, or a light. In an example method, a vehicle entry authorization system of a vehicle operates a sensor system to obtain dimensional information of an interior portion of the garage. The vehicle entry authorization system may then detect a presence of a mobile device (such as a phone-as-a-key or a vehicle key fob) and determines the location of the mobile device based on the dimensional information. If the mobile device is located outside the garage, the vehicle entry authorization system refrains from activating a component of the vehicle. However, if the mobile device is located inside the garage, the vehicle entry authorization system activates the component.

Abstract: A parking assisting method, device and system for a motor vehicle are provided. The parking assisting method includes the following steps: obtaining a relative position of an available parking spot relative to the motor vehicle; outputting a display instruction to the digital projector according to the relative position of the available parking spot relative to the motor vehicle; and projecting a projection image to the available parking spot by the digital projector according to the display instruction. The projection image is provided for indicating the available parking spot area will be occupied. The display instruction includes an image position for the projection image, so as to change the position of the projection image in the projection range, so that the position of the projection image in the available parking spot is substantially kept unchanged.

Abstract: A parking lot identification system includes a control apparatus mounted to each of a plurality of vehicles and a central apparatus that communicates with the control apparatus of each of the plurality of vehicles. Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system that receives sensor information from each of a plurality of sensors. Each sensor in the plurality is associated with a vehicle. The sensor information includes location coordinates of each vehicle in the plurality. The sensor information associated with each vehicle in the plurality then is translated to parking statistics information. In one embodiment, the translation is based on an aggregate of sensor information corresponding to the plurality of vehicles. The system then communicates parking statistics information to the vehicle.

Abstract: A system for communicating information about parking space availability can include a processor and a memory. The memory can store a calculations module and a communications module. The calculations module can include instructions that cause the processor to: (1) obtain a current count of spaces available for parking in an area designated for parking and (2) calculate, based on the current count and information, a revised count of the spaces. The information can indicate that a second vehicle has moved into or out of the area. The communications module can include instructions that cause the processor to: (1) receive, from a first vehicle, the information and (2) cause the revised count to be communicated to a component of a vehicle, in a vicinity of the area, for an action to be performed. The first vehicle can be parked. The information can be received via a sensor of the first vehicle.
