    摘要: Oscillating angularly rotating a container containing a material may cause the material to be separate. Denser or heavier material may unexpectedly tend to collected relatively close to the axis of rotation, while less dense or light material may tend to collect relatively away from the axis of rotation. Oscillation along an arcuate path provides high lysing efficiency. Alternatively, a micromotor may drive an impeller removably received in a container. Lysing may be implemented in batch mode, flow-through stop or semi-batch mode, or flow-through continuous mode. Lysing particulate material may exceed material to be lysed or lysed material and/or air may be essentially eliminated from a chamber to increase lysing efficiency.

    摘要: The present invention relates generally to an integrated system, apparatus and method that allows for the continuous culturing of microorganisms under high pressure conditions and at a wide range of temperatures. More specifically, the system is configured to be gas tight and operate under aerobic or anaerobic conditions. The system is also configured to permit periodic sampling of the incubated organisms under such conditions with minimal physical/chemical disturbance inside the reactor and minimal impacts of shear forces on the collected biomass.

    摘要: A cell culture controlling device is able to precisely control a cell culture's temperature and physical position. It contains a thermoelectric unit, a heat transfer medium, a controller, a pitch actuation unit, a medium temperature sensor, an ambient temperature sensor, a position sensor, a user interface, a powder supply and an alarm. The cell culture controlling device is able to maintain a cell culture temperature within a range from −10° C. to 70° C. with an increment of 1° C. and maintain the physical position of a cell culture container within a range from 0° to 45° with an increment of 1°. In this device, the thermoelectric unit is a Peltier solid state cooler, which allows an easy and accurate temperature control.
