Abstract:
A plurality of individual positions arranged on a surface area are toured. The individual positions are grouped such that each group occupies a continuous partial area in the positioning plane. The groups are ordered so that the partial areas adjoin each other, forming in their totality a geometrical coarse structure. The individual positions are continuously indexed such that their sequence follows the geometrical coarse structure. The indexing of the individual positions is altered in sections such that the time required for sequentially touring all the individual positions of a section is minimized.
Abstract:
A circuit board structure, particularly adapted for use in motor vehicle control devices, features a PC board 1 with two different electronic assemblies, e.g. a power portion 5 and a control portion 4, mounted thereon. A card-edge 9 supports a card-edge connector 10 which is connected by leads 8 to a plurality of terminals 7 arranged intermediate the two assemblies 2, 3. In order to enhance electromagnetic compatibility, the terminals 7 are connected to card-edge connector 10 by means of L-shaped leads 8 which bridge over one of the two assemblies, preferably the power portion or assembly.
Abstract:
A modular printed circuit construction using visual or other representations (1 to 7) which can be arranged so as to produce a visual pattern in which continuous interconnections between the modules appear (automatically as a result of overlapping of individual representations). The composite visual pattern can be used to produce a unitary printed circuit board. Alternatively the individual printed circuit boards can be combined in a board assembly using a mounting frame or edge connectors. Two dimensional extension is possible. Particular applications include microprocessor systems (include parallel processors using a common memory). Bus lines can extend completely across individual representations or the unitary board. The positions of such lines can be determined in dependence on the number of individual representations to which they are common.
Abstract:
A universal printed circuit pattern of conductors for use in connection with diaphragm-type push button electrical switch panels which allows the printed circuit board to be physically sheared along plural axes to accommodate switch panels of varying sizes without destroying electrical continuity of the ground or common conductor thereon.
Abstract:
When a conventional printed wiring board is subjected to a harsh environment, leakage can develop between adjacent conductors over a period of time. If high impedance circuits are employed on the board, such leakage can adversely affect circuit performance. The effect of such leakage can be minimized if the circuit layout is so arranged that potentially troublesome leakage occurs only to elements that operate at comparable operating potentials. In one embodiment of the invention, a circuit is shown having a high impedance point on a printed wiring board intended for an automotive application. The high impedance wiring conductor is completely surrounded by a metal conductor that is connected to a potential point in the circuit that approximates the potential at which the high impedance point will operate. When the automotive environment results in surface leakage, there will be very little change in the operational character of the high impedance circuit.
Abstract:
A print for control modules of contact-free control and regulating systems comprising an insulating carrier plate having one portion of one surface adjacent the control inputs provided with a plurality of anti-interference filters. The number of filters is the same as the number of control inputs. The other portion of the one surface of the plate is provided with the same number of threshold value stages connected to the filters. The other surface of the carrier plate has a metal layer thereon which is electrically interrupted in accordance with the boundary between the first and second portions of the one surface thereof. The portion of the layer corresponding to the first portion is connected to ground and the portion of the layer corresponding to the second portion is connected to a reference potential.
