    摘要: A device for additive-free, catalytically induced oxidation of solid carbon particles and decomposition of chemical compounds, comprising a converter chamber with compartments, in which porous structure catalyst carrier matrix profiles are mounted, so that a space between the internal diameter of catalyst profiles is connected to an inlet connection of the converter chamber, and a space around the external diameter of the catalyst profiles is connected to an outlet connection into the catalyst chamber. The profiles are mounted so that gas particles reach outlets only by passing through porous profiles. Advantageously, a third opening through which liquid, gaseous media, e.g., NO2, O3 or H2O or auxiliary means maybe in front of the porous structures. The porous structures are made of catalytically active material with catalytic action at temperatures below 400° C., preferably below 350° C. and especially below 300° C. The low-temperature below 250° C. by H2O is preferred.

    摘要: The invention pertains to a layered ammonia oxidation catalyst. The layered catalyst causes ammonia to be selectively oxidized in the presence of an oxidant such as air, while minimizing the formation of nitrogen oxides (NOx). The layered catalyst comprises a refractory oxide support such as gamma alumina upon which a platinum component is deposited and a vanadia component is deposited on the platinum. The catalyst is preferably disposed on a substrate such as a metal foil whose surface contains a “herringbone” pattern.

    摘要: A gas treatment device, comprises a substrate disposed within a shell. The substrate comprises a catalyst composition comprising a support, a catalyst, and a sufficient amount of SMSI material such that, upon exposure to a gas stream (at a gas treatment device operating temperature), less than or equal to about 35 wt % of hydrocarbons in the gas stream are burned. A method for forming a gas treatment device, comprises applying a slurry to a substrate, wherein the slurry comprises a support and a sufficient amount of SMSI material such that, upon exposure to a gas stream at a gas treatment device operating temperature, greater than or equal to about 50 wt % of hydrocarbons in the gas stream are cracked to a light fraction; applying a catalyst to the substrate; calcining the catalyst; and disposing the calcined substrate into a shell, with a retention material disposed between the shell and the calcined substrate.
