摘要: The invention relates to a lubricant coating for a medical container comprising a cross-linked lubricant composition comprising a mixture of non-reactive silicone with reactive silicone, characterized in that the reactive silicone comprises a mixture of vinyl-based silicone and acrylate-based silicone. The invention further relates to a lubricant composition usable as an intermediate product in the fabrication of a lubricant coating. The invention further relates to a medical container comprising a barrel and a stopper in gliding engagement within the barrel, comprising such a lubricant coating. The invention also relates to a process of manufacturing a medical container comprising a barrel and a stopper in gliding engagement within the barrel including depositing a lubricant composition on the inner surface of the barrel and/or on the stopper, and irradiating the coated barrel and/or stopper so as to cross-link the lubricant composition to form a lubricant coating.

摘要: A nasal ejecting catheter for home remedy of nasal irrigation treatment comprises a catheter unit and a connecting unit. The catheter unit comprises an open end, a closed end on the opposite side and a plurality of apertures formed near the closed end. The connection unit comprises a connection portion for connecting the open end of the catheter and an assembling portion for connecting an injection unit. The catheter body is made of silicone, latex, thermoplastic elastomer or other soft material to be operated by the patient. The total area of apertures is smaller than the cross section area of inner lumen of the catheter in order to eject substantially even strength multiple thin spouts.

The present invention relates to a lacrimal duct tube, including: a pair of tubular members that each has an opening at one end and a hole in a side wall communicating with a lumen; and a connection member that connects other ends of the tubular members, wherein the tubular members each include a plurality of resin portions different in Shore hardness, at least one of the resin portions is positioned between the opening and the hole and forms a lumen wall of the tubular member, and the lumen wall has a Shore hardness of 57D or more.

摘要: The invention provides methods of immobilizing an active agent to a substrate surface, including the steps of, depositing a primer compound on a substrate, thereby forming a primed substrate, contacting the primed substrate with a solution of a compound including a trihydroxyphenyl group, thereby forming a trihydroxyphenyl-treated primed substrate, and contacting the trihydroxyphenyl-treated primed substrate with a solution of an active agent, thereby immobilizing the active agent on the substrate. Further provided are methods of immobilizing an active agent on a substrate, including the steps of providing a substrate, combining a solution of a compound including a trihydroxyphenyl group with a solution of an active agent, thereby forming a solution of an active agent-trihydroxyphenyl conjugate, and contacting the primed substrate with the solution of the active agent-trihydroxyphenyl conjugate, thereby immobilizing the active agent on the substrate. The invention further provides substrates and medical device or device components with active agents immobilized on the surface thereof.

摘要: Provided herein is a method of reducing a microbial infection of a heparinized surface wherein heparin precipitation is reduced as compared to a control. In some embodiments a composition comprising ethanol and isopropanol is applied to the surface. In other embodiments, two or more ethanol compositions are applied and removed sequentially from the surface prior to contacting the surface with a biological fluid, tissue or vessel, wherein the composition in each successive administration comprises an increased amount of ethanol. Also provided is a method of reducing a microbial infection of a surface comprising applying a mucilage extract from an Opuntia ficus indica species to the surface.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to multilayer coatings that include a hydrophobic encasing layer and allow controlled release of a water soluble drug. The encasing layer encases water soluble, or hydrophilic, drugs with a flexible layer and comes in good intimate contact with the water soluble drug layer. Thus, the encasing layer conforms to the water soluble drug and can control the release of the drug. Advantageously, major cuts or fissures in the coating do not cause the water soluble drug to leak or burst out; rather, the encasing layer continues to provide modulated release of the drug. The present disclosure also includes methods of making the multilayer coatings, methods of using the multilayer coatings, and articles that include the multilayer coatings.
