摘要: A catalyst for purification of exhaust gas, comprising a first catalyst comprising: a first catalyst support comprising a first composite oxide composed of alumina, zirconia, and titania, and ceria supported on a surface of the first composite oxide in an amount of 0.5 to 10 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the first composite oxide; and a first noble metal supported on a surface of the first catalyst support in an amount of 0.05 to 5.0 parts by mass in terms of metal relative to 100 parts by mass of the first catalyst support.

摘要: A lean NOx trap for the treatment of exhaust gas emissions, such as the oxidation of unburned hydrocarbons (HC), and carbon monoxide (CO), and the trapping and reduction of nitrogen oxides (NOx) is disclosed. Nitrogen oxide storage catalysts can comprise a layer on a substrate including ceria-alumina particles having a ceria phase present in a weight percent of the composite in the range of about 20% to about 80% on an oxide basis, an alkaline earth metal component supported on the ceria-alumina particles, wherein the CeO2 is present in the form of crystallites that are hydrothermally stable and have an average crystallite size less than 130 Å after aging at 950° C. for 5 hours in 2% O2 and 10% steam in N2.

NOx trap composition comprises a platinum group metal, barium, cobalt, and a magnesia-alumina support. The NOx trap composition is less prone to storage deactivation and exhibits reduced N2O formation.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst having improved performance for purifying an exhaust gas, in particular, an exhaust gas containing NOx. The exhaust gas purification catalyst of the present disclosure includes Rh-supporting composite oxide support particles containing Al, Zr, and Ti and Rh-supporting aluminum phosphate-based support particles. Furthermore, in the exhaust gas purification catalyst of the present disclosure, the ratio of the moles of metals constituting the aluminum phosphate-based support particles, relative to the total moles of metals constituting the composite oxide support particles and the aluminum phosphate-based support particles is 7.5% or more and 15.0% or less.

摘要: A passive NOx adsorber is disclosed. The passive NOx adsorber is effective to adsorb NOx at or below a low temperature and release the adsorbed NOx at temperatures above the low temperature. The passive NOx adsorber comprises a noble metal and a molecular sieve having an LTL Framework Type. The invention also includes an exhaust system comprising the passive NOx adsorber, and a method for treating exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine utilizing the passive NOx adsorber.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for reducing soot sensor electrode degradation in harsh chemical environment introduced as a result of desulfation of a lean NOx trap positioned upstream of the soot sensor. In one example, a method may include in response to the SOx load being higher than the threshold, prior to initiating desulfation of LNT, operating the soot sensor in a pre-desulfation mode where the negative electrode is connected to the positive electrode for a brief duration, while the positive electrode is disconnected from the positive electrode. However during desulfation, when H2S is released as a by-product, both the electrodes may be open, i.e. not connected to the positive electrode or ground, thereby reducing the possibility of sensor degradation.

摘要: Provided are emissions treatment systems for an exhaust stream having an ammonia-generating component, such as a NOx storage reduction (NSR) catalyst or a lean NOx trap (LNT) catalyst, and an SCR catalyst disposed downstream of the ammonia-generating catalyst. The SCR catalyst can be a molecular sieve having the CHA crystal structure, for example SSZ-13 or SAPO-34, which can be ion-exchanged with copper. The LNT can be layered, having an undercoat washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and at least one NOx sorbent selected from the group consisting of alkaline earth elements, rare earth elements, and combinations thereof and a top washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and ceria in particulate form, the top washcoat layer being substantially free of alkaline earth components. The emissions treatment system is advantageously used for the treatment of exhaust streams from diesel engines and lean burn gasoline engines.
