    There is provided a dispensing control method and a dispenser that suppress the division of an air layer and that obtain high dispensing accuracy.
    [Solution]
    An automatic analyzer includes: a nozzle 20 that dispenses a dispensed liquid 23; a syringe motor 209 that generates a pressure fluctuation for controlling a flow velocity on aspiration or discharge of the dispensed liquid 23 in the nozzle 20; a piping 210 that connects the nozzle 20 to the syringe motor 209; and a controller 102 that controls operations of the nozzle 20 and the syringe motor 209. The controller 102 calculates positions of interfaces 31 to 34 in the piping 210, and the controller 102 controls the flow velocity based on the positions of the interface 31 to 34 and orientations of the interfaces 31 to 34 that move.

    Abstract: An automatic analyzer includes: a plurality of dispensing units; and a plurality of pump units connected to the respective dispensing units. Each of the plurality of pump units includes: a syringe tube that has a liquid port at one end and an opening at another end; a syringe base that is attached to the opening at the other end of the syringe tube; a plunger that penetrates the syringe base and whose tip end is inserted inside the syringe tube; a seal piece that is configured to seal a gap between the plunger and the syringe base; an actuator; and a power transmission mechanism that connects the actuator and the plunger. Each plunger of the plurality of pump units has an individually set diameter and a different thickness. At least one of the syringe base and the syringe tube represents the diameter of the corresponding plunger in appearance.

    Abstract: A reagent pack includes a first reservoir having a continuous rigid wall defining a constant inner space that opens to the ambient environment. An air-tight second reservoir has a flexible wall that defines a variable inner space with one or more second openings. The second reservoir is arranged within the first reservoir and stores fluid reagent. A closure element completely fills the first opening of the first reservoir and includes a first fluid passage fluidly connecting the inner space of the first reservoir, as the waste reservoir, to receive waste liquid. Second fluid passages fluidly connect the second openings of said second reservoirs with respective reagent inlets to supply fluid reagent to the sample analyzer. The inner space of the first reservoir further includes an air passage to allow gaseous communication with the ambient environment to maintain a controlled pressure within said inner space while receiving waste liquid.
