Abstract: A resin composition contains a thermosetting resin (A) and an inorganic filler (B). The inorganic filler (B) includes: a first filler (B1); and a second filler (B2) of a nanometer scale having a smaller particle size than the first filler (B1). The first filler (B1) includes an anhydrous magnesium carbonate filler (b1) and an alumina filler (b2). The proportion of the first filler (B1) relative to a total solid content in the resin composition is equal to or greater than 50% by volume and equal to or less than 90% by volume. The proportion of the second filler (B2) relative to the total solid content in the resin composition is equal to or greater than 0.1% by volume and equal to or less than 2.0% by volume.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising a binder comprising one or more siloxane polymers, silicone resins, silicone based elastomers, and mixtures thereof, wherein said binder optionally comprises one or more cross-linker components comprising a silane and/or a siloxane containing silicon-bonded hydrolysable groups; and a hydrophilic powder and/or gel selected from one or more amorphous, porous hydrophilic silica(s), one or more hydrophilic silica aerogel(s) and mixtures thereof, said amorphous, porous hydrophilic silica and/or said hydrophilic silica aerogel having a BET surface area from 100 m2/g to 1500 m2/g or greater and a thermal conductivity from 0.004 to 0.05 W/m·K at 20° C. and atmospheric pressure. The invention also relates to the use of said composition as or in thermally or acoustically insulating materials and to coatings, products and articles made therefrom.

A molded sample of the composite exhibits a percent reflected power measured in transmission mode of at least 15% when observed according to a Free Space method at frequencies from about 75 GHz to 110 GHz.

Abstract: A thermoplastic composition includes, based on the total weight of the composition: from 20 wt % to 90 wt % of a primary thermoplastic resin including a polycarbonate component; from 0.5 wt % to 30 wt % of a functional filler including electrically conductive carbon powder, carbon nanotubes, or a combination thereof; from 0 wt % to 20 wt % of a second thermoplastic resin; and from 0 wt % to 40 wt % of at least one additional additive. The polycarbonate component includes at least 5 wt % of a poly(aliphatic ester)-polycarbonate copolymer based on the total weight of the polycarbonate component, and the combined weight percent value of all components does not exceed 100 wt %. The thermoplastic composition may be useful in, e.g., molded articles, including as a carrier tape for an electronic component.
