摘要: A component (100), in particular for a valve train system, having a substrate (3) and a layer system (1) applied at least in parts to the substrate (3), wherein the layer system (1) includes a friction-reducing and wear-reducing protective layer (2) for forming a component surface, wherein the protective layer (2) has at least one first sub-layer (4, 4a) made of doped tetrahedral amorphous carbon, which includes sp3-hybridized carbon having a mole fraction of at least 50%, wherein the first sub-layer (4, 4a) contains oxygen in a concentration in the range from 0.1 at % to 3.0 at % and hydrogen in a concentration in the range from 0.1 at % to 15 at %, and wherein the first sub-layer (4, 4a) has one or more of the following dopants in a concentration in the range from 0.03 at % to 15 at %: chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, silicon, copper, niobium, zirconium, vanadium, nickel, iron, silver, hafnium, fluorine, boron and nitrogen. A method for producing such a component (100) is also provided.

摘要: The disclosure provides for anti-scale deposition coatings for use on surface, such as on oilfield parts. The coating includes a first, sublayer of a metal, ceramic, or metal-ceramic composite, which is characterized in having a hardness in excess of 35 HRC. The coating includes a second, top layer over the first layer, that is a polymer. A surface of the first layer may be conditioned to have a roughened or patterned topology for receipt of and adherence with the at least one top layer. The first layer may provide the coating with hardness, and the at least one top layer may provide the coating with low-friction and anti-scale properties.

摘要: An erosion resistant coating for a substrate includes two or more coating layers affixed to the substrate having an increasing modulus of elasticity and hardness from an innermost layer of the coating adjacent to the substrate to an outermost layer of the coating furthest from the substrate. A method of applying a coating system to a substrate includes applying a first layer of a high hardness and high modulus of elasticity material combined with an added metal to the substrate. A second layer of the high hardness and high modulus of elasticity material combined with the added metal is applied to the first layer, resulting in a coating system wherein the second layer has a modulus of elasticity and hardness greater than the modulus of elasticity and hardness of the first layer.

摘要: A coated cutting tool with improved abrasion resistance and chipping resistance in which a cemented carbine substrate has a coating film formed on a surface of the substrate by chemical vapor deposition. The coating film includes a lower film with the average film thickness of 2 to 15 μm, formed on the surface of the substrate, and an aluminum oxide upper film, with an average film thickness of 1 to 10 μm, formed on a surface of the lower film. The lower film is an alternate laminated film formed by alternately stacking TiN films; each having the average thickness of 10 to 300 nm, and TiCN films each having the average thickness of 0.1 to 0.5 μm.
