Abstract: There are provided a towel cloth which has a bulky and fluffy texture, is less likely to undergo fluff dropping, and is excellent in water absorbency, and a manufacturing method thereof. For a towel cloth including a ground weave including a warp ground yarn and a weft ground yarn crossing each other therein, and a pile yarn locked to the ground weave, at least one of the warp ground yarn, the weft ground yarn, and the pile yarn is formed of a twisted union finished yarn, and the twisted union finished yarn includes a twisted union yarn including two or more rovings twisted in a primary twisting direction as a single yarn, one of the rovings having an even twist, and at least another of the rovings partially having a twist with irregular strand length and twisting angle, the twisted union yarn undergoing fiber opening and being puffy.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cotton-like knitted fabric, a polyester filament and a production method. The fabric is a weft-knitted fabric obtained by material containing at least above 45% by weight of polyester filaments; the pore area distribution of the fabric is centered on 6000 to 22000 μm2 and has a statistical variability of above 2a, and the coefficient of variation of the pore area is greater than 40%. The polyester filament is formed from alternatingly arranged twist regions in a false-twist direction and twist regions in an opposite direction, wherein the twist regions in the false-twist direction have an average length of less than 0.3 cm, a coefficient of variation of length of above 60%, a diameter that is 30% to 70% of the diameter of the twist regions in the opposite direction, and a total length that is 20.0% to 40.0% of the total length of the polyester filaments.

Abstract: A lacrosse head pocket and a related method of manufacture are provided to facilitate consistent, repeatable and/or custom manufacture of lacrosse equipment. The pocket can be constructed from multiple different sections joined with one another, or can be knitted, weaved or otherwise assembled on an automated assembly machine from strands, and/or can be formed as a unitary textile material having regions/sections with different physical and/or mechanical properties. The pocket can be integrally molded within portions of a lacrosse head to eliminate manually constructed connections between the pocket and lacrosse head. The lacrosse head can be integrally molded with a lacrosse handle to provide a one-piece unitary lacrosse stick. The lacrosse pocket body can include one or more fused pocket areas. Related methods of manufacturing also are provided.

Abstract: A facility for manufacturing at least first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements, in which each of the first and second assemblies includes a plurality of filamentary elements wound together in a helix, includes an assembling apparatus and a splitting apparatus. The assembling apparatus of the facility assembles M filamentary elements together into a layer of M filamentary elements around a temporary core, to form a temporary assembly. The splitting apparatus of the facility splits the temporary assembly into at least the first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements.
