摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member; a plurality of developing devices for developing electrostatic images formed on the image bearing member with developers, the developing devices including respective developer carrying members for carrying respective developers; moving means for moving a selected one of the developing devices to an operative position, wherein each of the developer carrying members is movable selectively to be in contact with or spaced from the image bearing member at the operative position; wherein the apparatus is operable in a first image formation mode in which an image is formed using the plurality of developing devices and a second image formation mode in which an image is formed using one of the plurality of developing devices, and wherein the developer carrying member which is at the operative position in the first image formation mode is capable of being spaced from the image bearing member by a first distance during non-developing-operation, and the developer carrying member which is at the operative position in the second image formation mode is capable of being spaced from the image bearing member by a second distance during non-developing-operation, and wherein the second distance is smaller than the first distance.

摘要: A data access apparatus has a memory portion including plural memory banks. A data storage control portion stores the pixel data in the plural memory banks with the pixel data being divided into the plural memory banks based on information on an access pattern of plural pixels set on a predetermined screen. A data access control portion reads pixel data relative to the plural pixels specified by the access pattern at the same time from the plural memory banks at each set position in which the set position of the access pattern moves from the start position thereof toward a pixel row direction. A selector portion transmits pixel data corresponding to respective pixels constituting each of the groups of pixels based on correspondence information on input and output. Each group of pixels includes a center pixel and peripheral pixels positioned at a periphery of the center pixel.

摘要: An object of this invention is to provide a method for assaying, predicting or assessing drug metabolism by effectively detecting (a) mutation(s) in a gene coding for UGT. A gene coding for UGT comprises 5 exons, and since the regions of exons 2 through 5 are common to each isoform of UGT1, by assaying a mutation in the common regions, particularly a mutation in exon 5 region, and further adding the detection of (a) mutation(s) in a plurality of exon regions, mutations of UGT1 gene can effectively assayed. A nucleic acid chip using nucleic acid probes is used as a way of detecting (a) mutation(s).

摘要: In a nonvolatile semiconductor memory device in which a plurality of threshold values are set to store multi-level data in a memory cell, bits of multi-bit data are separately written into a memory cell according to an address signal or a control signal to effect the reading and erasing. Concretely, the memory array is so constituted that it can be accessed by three-dimensional address of X, Y and Z, and multi-bit data in the memory cell is discriminated by the Z-address.

摘要: A zoom lens includes: a first lens group having a positive refractive power and statically positioned along an optical axis when a power of the zoom lens is varied or the zoom lens is focused; a second lens group having a negative refractive power; a third lens group having a positive refractive power; a fourth lens group having a positive refractive power; a fifth lens group. The second and fourth lens groups are moved for varying the power of the zoom lens and the fourth lens group is further moved for focusing the zoom lens. The first lens group includes a reflective optical element for bending an optical path. The second lens group includes a cemented lens including a positive lens and a negative lens. The fourth lens group includes two positive lenses, and the fifth lens group includes one positive lens having at least one aspherical surface.
