Abstract: Disclosed is a high-performance repair tape for a backboard of a photovoltaic module. The tape comprises a base material layer, a functional adhesive layer, and a release material layer provided in sequence from top to bottom; the base material layer is formed of a polyester thin film material; the functional adhesive layer is formed of a high weather-resistance adhesive. According to the high-performance repair tape for a backboard of a photovoltaic module, and a manufacturing method therefor provided by the present invention, by selecting a weather-resistant base material layer, effects, such as water resisting, insulation, and ultraviolet radiation resistance, can be achieved, and a backboard independence effect is achieved; by selecting a weather-resistant adhesive for the functional adhesive layer, the weather resistance, high temperature resistance, and yellowing resistance of the tape can be improved; the tape has a strong bonding strength and is not easy to peel off, and the tape is easy to fit and facilitates construction.

The adhesive composition comprises at least 90 wt. % of a copolymer, wherein the copolymer comprises from about 30 mole % to about 70 mole % of propene monomer units and from about 30 mole % to about 75 mole % of 1-butene monomer units. The adhesive composition is free of a heterophase copolymer.

Abstract: A method of assembling an absorbent article having the steps of: a) providing a hot melt adhesive composition, wherein the adhesive has an amorphous polyolefin composition with more than 40% 1-butene and from about 10 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of a second amorphous polymer, and wherein the hot melt adhesive composition comprises less than 5% of a tackifier; b) providing a plurality of absorbent article components; and c) joining at least one of the absorbent article components to another of the absorbent article components using the adhesive so as to assemble the absorbent article.

Abstract: A counter tapered thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising: (a) a counter tapered diblock A-[A/B] copolymer with a peak molecular weight from 20,000 to 250,000, which includes a monovinyl aromatic homopolymer block A with a peak molecular weight of at least 8,000 and a counter tapered copolymer block [A/B] with a vinyl content of at least 15 weight percent based on the amount of conjugated diene units in the diblock copolymer; and (b) a block copolymer selected from the group consisting of linear triblock copolymers having a peak molecular weight that is at least about 1.5 times the peak molecular weight of the counter tapered diblock A-[A/B] copolymer described in (a), multiarm coupled block copolymers having a peak molecular weight that is at least about 2.5 times the peak molecular weight of the counter tapered diblock A-[A/B] copolymer described in (a), and mixtures thereof; and (c) wherein the ratio of (a) to (b) in the counter tapered thermoplastic elastomer composition is from about 1:5 to about 5:1. The counter tapered thermoplastic elastomer compositions provide in the applications: i) easy processing such as short dispersion time, low mixing temperature, low viscosity, excellent storage stability; and ii) better reinforcement such as high elastic response, wide range of performance grade, high adherence, higher filler loading capacity, and better compromise between high and low temperature properties; which make them suitable for a broad range of applications such as road paving, roofing, shingles, waterproofing membranes, adhesive tapes and labels, contact and sprayable adhesives, and sealants.
