摘要: A liquid crystal apparatus is constituted by a display device for data display, a drive circuit unit for driving the display device, a unit substrate for supplying electric signals to the drive circuit unit, and a tape-form film carrier comprising an insulating substrate and a conductor covered with the insulating substrate for connecting the display device, the drive circuit unit and the unit substrate. A part of the film carrier is provided with a blank portion where the insulating substrate is locally removed to absorb a stress applied to the film carrier. A unit substrate constituting the drive circuit unit is screwed to a supporting member so as to allow a movement thereof relative to the supporting member by use of a space regulating means surrounding the screw shank.

摘要: A method of forming an electrical connection from a drive circuit to an electrical device is provided. An electrical connection structure includes: electrodes formed on a device side, electrodes formed on a flexible film carrier having an electrode pattern connected to a drive circuit; and an anisotropic conductive film having metal particles or metal plated particles dispersed therein, interposed between the electrodes on the device side and the electrodes on the flexible film carrier, for electrically connecting the electrodes facing each other through thermocompression bonding. The electrodes, on the flexible film carrier are exposed by removing the flexible film at an electrical connection area, and the length of each exposed electrode is from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm.

摘要: A liquid crystal apparatus is constituted by a display device for data display, a drive circuit unit for driving the display device, a unit substrate for supplying electric signals to the drive circuit unit, and a tape-form film carrier comprising an insulating substrate and a conductor covered with the insulating substrate for connecting the display device, the drive circuit unit and the unit substrate. A part of the film carrier is provided with a blank portion where the insulating substrate is locally removed to absorb a stress applied to the film carrier. A unit substrate constituting the drive circuit unit is screwed to a supporting member so as to allow a movement thereof relative to the supporting member by use of a space regulating means surrounding the screw shank.

摘要: A liquid crystal apparatus is constituted by a liquid crystal device including a pair of substrates at least one of which is provided with first electrodes, and a liquid crystal disposed between the substrates; a plurality of driver devices disposed on said at least one substrate at a periphery thereof and electrically connected to the first electrodes; a driver board for supplying signals to the driver devices, disposed in parallel with the driver devices; second electrodes disposed on said at least one substrate and electrically connected to the driver devices; and a plurality of connection sheets disposed between the driver board and said at least one substrate and each electrically connecting each of the driver devices to the driver board via the second electrodes. In the apparatus, the first electrodes are supplied with driving signals for driving the liquid crystal device via the driver board, the connection sheets, the second electrodes and the driver devices, thus ensuring electrical connection of electrodes formed on the driver board with the second electrodes connected to the driver devices.

摘要: A liquid crystal apparatus includes a liquid crystal panel side electrode extending from a liquid crystal panel and an external circuit side electrode extending from an external circuit and connected to the liquid crystal panel side electrode for driving the liquid crystal panel, by using conductive material. The liquid crystal panel side electrode includes a laminated film made of an indium tin oxide film having a surface and a metal film on the surface. The metal film is selected from one of a molybdenum film and an aluminum film. The liquid crystal panel side electrode has a left portion of the metal film and an indium tin oxide film opening area, at a connection area between the liquid crystal panel side electrode and the external circuit side electrode. The indium tin oxide film of the liquid crystal panel side electrode is covered with the metal film over the entire surface thereof. The liquid crystal panel side electrode is formed in a stripe shape, and the left portion of the metal film of the liquid crystal panel side electrode at the connection area is formed to have a width 1/30 to 1/3 times as narrow as a width of the stripe.

摘要: A multi-element module is constituted by a substrate having thereon a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of electrical elements each having at least one second electrode and disposed so that its second electrode is aligned with a first electrode in an opposed relationship, and an adhesive member disposed between the substrate and the plurality of electrical elements to ensure electrical connection between the first electrodes and the second electrodes. The adhesive member comprises an adhesive layer contacting and bonding the electrical elements to the substrate, and an anisotropic conductive layer comprising a resin and electroconductive particles dispersed in the resin. The anisotropic conductive film is disposed between the adhesive layer and the substrate so as to insulate adjacent electrodes from each other while electrically connects the first and second electrodes, even when the electrical elements having second electrodes different in thickness.

摘要: A display apparatus includes a display unit for displaying images, a backlight unit disposed behind the display unit for illuminating the display unit, an inverter unit for electrically controlling the backlight unit, a controller unit for controlling the inverter unit and the display unit, and a power supply unit having an exothermic heat distribution for supplying electricity to the inverter unit and the controller unit. The inverter unit and controller unit are disposed behind the backlight unit and the power supply unit is disposed on a side of the display unit, backlight unit, inverter unit and controller unit. The display unit, backlight unit, inverter unit, controller unit and power supply unit are disposed in a common housing. The inverter unit and the controller unit are arranged behind the backlight unit. An insulating member is further disposed between the power supply unit and the display unit at a position corresponding to a region of relatively large exothermic heat of the power supply unit, and the insulating member is disposed at a diagonal position with respect to the inverter unit. The display apparatus may be supported by a support structure including vertically tilting and laterally turning mechanisms.
