    摘要: A liquid crystal apparatus includes: a liquid crystal panel, an illumination means for illuminating the liquid crystal panel, a supporting means for supporting the liquid crystal panel and a housing for housing the above members. The liquid crystal panel and the supporting means are arranged so as to define an almost closed space functioning as an air damper to suppress deformation caused by an externally applied force owing to elasticity of air within the almost closed space. The supporting means includes a unit-supporting portion for supporting the illumination means, the unit-supporting portion being provided with a cutout at a part thereof for promoting discharge of heat evolved from the illumination means, and, the illumination means is supported by the unit-supporting portion so as to stop up the cutout of the unit-supporting portion, thus retaining the almost closed space. The liquid crystal apparatus is further provided with means for enhancing discharge of heat evolved by the illumination means out of the apparatus from a side opposite to the liquid crystal panel of the illumination means.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal panel for data display comprising a pair of oppositely disposed substrates and a liquid crystal disposed between the substrates, a sheet of substantially transparent protection plate disposed opposite to and with a prescribed gap from a display surface of the liquid crystal panel for protecting the liquid crystal panel, and a polarizer sheet for selectively transmitting light having a plane of polarization in a prescribed direction disposed on at least the display surface of the liquid crystal panel. The display apparatus further includes an anti-reflection film disposed on at least a front surface on an opposite side with respect to the liquid crystal panel of the protection plate among two surfaces of the protection plate and a surface of the polarizer sheet. The anti-reflection film comprises a layer structure including at least one layer for promoting optical interference to decrease reflected light brightness and provided with surface unevennesses at a prescribed pitch.

    摘要: A method of forming an electrical connection from a drive circuit to an electrical device is provided. An electrical connection structure includes: electrodes formed on a device side, electrodes formed on a flexible film carrier having an electrode pattern connected to a drive circuit; and an anisotropic conductive film having metal particles or metal plated particles dispersed therein, interposed between the electrodes on the device side and the electrodes on the flexible film carrier, for electrically connecting the electrodes facing each other through thermocompression bonding. The electrodes, on the flexible film carrier are exposed by removing the flexible film at an electrical connection area, and the length of each exposed electrode is from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm.

    摘要: A liquid crystal apparatus includes a liquid crystal panel side electrode extending from a liquid crystal panel and an external circuit side electrode extending from an external circuit and connected to the liquid crystal panel side electrode for driving the liquid crystal panel, by using conductive material. The liquid crystal panel side electrode includes a laminated film made of an indium tin oxide film having a surface and a metal film on the surface. The metal film is selected from one of a molybdenum film and an aluminum film. The liquid crystal panel side electrode has a left portion of the metal film and an indium tin oxide film opening area, at a connection area between the liquid crystal panel side electrode and the external circuit side electrode. The indium tin oxide film of the liquid crystal panel side electrode is covered with the metal film over the entire surface thereof. The liquid crystal panel side electrode is formed in a stripe shape, and the left portion of the metal film of the liquid crystal panel side electrode at the connection area is formed to have a width 1/30 to 1/3 times as narrow as a width of the stripe.
