摘要: A laminate production method is provided which can sufficiently prevent the occurrence of blocking without causing deterioration in the outstanding characteristics of acrylic block copolymers such as adhesive performance, and can also ensure excellent processability during extrusion. The laminate production method includes a step (1) of bringing raw pellets of an acrylic block copolymer (A) into contact with an aqueous dispersion (C) containing acrylic resin particles (B) and no surfactants, the acrylic block copolymer (A) including at least one polymer block (a1) including acrylic acid alkyl ester units and at least one polymer block (a2) including methacrylic acid alkyl ester units, a step (2) of removing water attached to the pellets and thereby obtaining pellets (D), and a step (3) of preparing an adhesive composition using an adhesive feedstock including the pellets (D) from the step (2), and extruding the adhesive composition to form an adhesive layer and thereby producing a laminate including the adhesive layer and a substrate layer.

摘要: A tackifier composition comprising at least one thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin and an antioxidant composition is provided; wherein a portion of the volatile organic compounds in the thermoplastic hydrocarbon resin has been removed; wherein the antioxidant composition comprises at least one primary antioxidant and at least one secondary antioxidant; and wherein the levels of individual volatile organic compound monitored in the tackifier composition are less than about 0.5 ppm as measured by GC/MS headspace analysis. Processes for producing the tackifier composition are also provided as well as adhesives comprising the tackifier compositions.

摘要: A hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprises: (a) a block copolymer comprising a first polymer block comprising an ethylene residue and a second polymer block comprising a C1 to C4 alkyl acrylate residue, wherein the block copolymer has a melt index as measured in accordance with ASTM D1238 of between about 0.1 and about 250 g/10 min; (b) a tackifying resin; and (c) a plasticizer. A method for making a laminate comprises the steps of: applying the hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive composition of the invention in a molten state to a primary substrate and allowing the adhesive to cool to form a bond with said primary substrate. Certain adhesives the invention perform comparably to certain styrene block copolymer adhesives, but provides an alternative polymer source.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a multiblock copolymer. This method comprises i) providing a block copolymer comprising at least one PA block and at least one PB block, where PA represents a polymer block comprising one or more units of monomer A and PB represents a polymer block comprising one or more units of monomer B, with monomers A and B being the same or different, where the block copolymer contains a chain transfer agent moiety (CTA); ii) providing a radically polymerizable monomer C; and iii) polymerizing the block copolymer with monomer C under conditions effective to achieve a number average degree of polymerization (Nn) for the multiblock copolymer of up to 100,000 without gelation.

摘要: Provided is a sticky cleaner whose adhesive face can be easily renewed and whish is less susceptible to roll-loosening. The sticky cleaner provided by this invention comprises a PSA tape having an adhesive face on the first face of a substrate. The PSA tape forms a PSA tape roll wound with the adhesive face on the outside. On the first face of the substrate, the PSA tape comprises a first layer formed of a PSA and a second layer formed of an acrylic viscoelastic material. The adhesive face comprises first sections where the first layer is exposed and second sections where the second layer is exposed. The second sections protrude further out of the PSA tape roll relative to the first sections. The PSA tape roll shows an unwinding force F0 at 0° C. and an unwinding force F30 at 30° C.

摘要: A tile comprising the following components: A) a first film formed from a first composition comprising the following: i) a functionalized olefin-based polymer comprising one or more chemical groups selected from the following: a) a carboxylic acid, and/or b) an anhydride, and, optionally, c) an amino or an amine; and ii) a functionalized styrenic block copolymer, comprising, in polymerized form, styrene, and ethylene and/or at least one alpha-olefin, and comprising one or more chemical groups selected from the following: a) a carboxylic acid, and/or b) an anhydride; and B) a substrate comprising at least one layer formed from a second composition comprising a propylene-based polymer; and wherein the first film covers at least one surface of the substrate.
