摘要: A surge protection apparatus may include an input terminal; an output terminal, the output terminal electrically coupled to the input terminal; a ground terminal, the ground terminal electrically coupled to the input terminal and output terminal; a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) fuse, the PTC fuse connected in electrical series between the input terminal and output terminal; a crowbar device, the crowbar device electrically connected to the ground terminal and output terminal, wherein the crowbar device is in electrical series with the PTC fuse between the input terminal and ground terminal; and a central frame portion, the central frame portion electrically coupled to the input terminal, output terminal and ground terminal, wherein the crowbar device is disposed on a first side of the central frame portion and the PTC fuse is disposed on a second side of the central frame portion, opposite the first side.

The heater cable further includes a thermally and electrically conductive interstitial material disposed around the at least one center bus wire and the at least one radial bus wire, and a jacket disposed about the interstitial material, the at least one center bus wire, and the at least one radial bus wire.

摘要: A novel heater is disclosed for a temperature sensitive actuator. The heater is a polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) device consisting of conductive filler and semi-crystalline polymer. The PPTC heater is strategically designed to have a predetermined self-regulation temperature suited to whatever application utilizes the heater. Physical characteristics of the PPTC heater, such as gap width and thickness, enable the current flow through the heater to be strategically controlled.

摘要: Semiconductor device structures and methods for manufacturing the same are provided. The semiconductor device structure includes a substrate, a first nitride semiconductor layer, a second nitride semiconductor layer, a first electrode, a second electrode, a gate structure and a temperature sensitive component. The first nitride semiconductor layer is disposed on the substrate. The second nitride semiconductor layer is disposed on the first nitride semiconductor layer and has a bandgap greater than that of the first nitride semiconductor layer. The first electrode, the second electrode and the gate structure are disposed on the second nitride semiconductor layer. The temperature sensitive component is disposed external to a region between the gate structure and the first electrode along a first direction in parallel to an interface of the first nitride semiconductor layer and the second nitride semiconductor layer.

摘要: An article comprising a double-switching heater that comprises a double-switching PTC ink deposited on a flexible substrate to form one or more resistors. The double-switching PTC ink comprises a first resin and a second resin; the first resin provides a first PTC effect within a first temperature range (T1, T2); the second resin provides a second PTC effect within a second temperature range (T3, T4), where T3≥T2; the first resin has an NTC effect above the first temperature range; the second PTC effect is greater than the first PTC effect; and the second PTC effect overlaps with, and is greater than, the NTC effect of the first resin. The substrate can be either thermal polyurethane, nylon or a polyester blend.

摘要: An over-current protection device includes first and second electrodes and a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) multilayered structure disposed between the first and second electrodes. The PTC multilayered structure includes a first polymer layer that is bonded to the first electrode, an intermediate layered unit that is bonded to said first polymer layer and that includes a second polymer layer, a third polymer layer that is bonded to and disposed between the intermediate layered unit and the second electrode. The first, second and third polymer layers respectively have first, second and third volume resistances, the second volume resistance being higher than the first and third volume resistances.
