Abstract:
A wheel module (2) in accordance with the invention includes a wheel (4). A tire (5) is shown fixe to the rim of the wheel (4). A stationary brake caliper (6) is shown fixed to a stationary motor housing (26). In this embodiment, the motor housing (26) is non-rotating structural unit. The brake caliper (6) is operable connectable to a brake disc (8). The brake caliper (6) and brake disc (8) together comprise a brake system (9). The brake caliper (8) is operatively conneted to hub (10). The hub (10) is affixed to the wheel (4) by use of a bolt (11). A rotor unit (12) including rotor discs (14, 16) is rigidly mounted to the hub (10). A stator (18) is shown operatively connected to the motor housing (26).
Abstract:
Methods are provided for conducting a vehicle business transaction with a customer. Possession of a vehicle chassis is offered and/or granted to a customer in a first financial transaction for consideration. Possession of a vehicle body for engagement with the chassis is offered and/or granted in a second financial transaction for consideration independently of the vehicle chassis, wherein the chassis and body are separately priced. The body may be selected from an inventory of vehicle bodies each having a chassis attachment interface engageable with the chassis. The chassis may be financed for an extended period of time, such as 20 years, while various bodies interchanged with the chassis.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vehicle body height multi-control apparatus for an air suspension system, wherein an air spring is interposed between a vehicle body and a suspension arm to control the vehicle body height by the injection and discharge of compressed air. The vehicle body height control apparatus comprises: a mechanical leveling valve which rotates in the forward and reverse directions and the upward and downward directions, or in the left and right directions, so as to control the injection and discharge of the compressed air; a valve driver which drives the leveling valve in the direction of the injection and discharge of the compressed air; and a controller which controls the operation of the valve driver. Thus, an inexpensive vehicle body height multi-control apparatus for an air suspension system, which has a simple structure to enable a user to freely control the vehicle body height as needed, is provided.

Abstract:
A vehicle includes a steering system, suspension system, braking system, and energy conversion system, wherein at least one of these systems is reprogrammable such that the vehicle's ride, response, or handling is selectively variable. The systems may be programmed automatically when a body is mated to a chassis to provide the desired performance characteristics. A method is provided for determining a customer's desired system characteristics an programming systems accordingly.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a balancing method of pressure applied on a travelling course of a vehicle and trailer. It is characteristic of the invention that there is one or more pressure-balancing wheel/wheels (2) between right-hand and left-hand wheels (lb) of the vehicle and/or trailer (1) which wheel/wheels have been upwards and downwards movably fastened to an axle or axles (lc) between the right-hand and left-hand wheels and/or to a frame (la).
