Abstract:
In a rubber contact switch in which ends of lead lines of an LED extend to the rear surface of a printed board through holes of a rubber contact sheet to be soldered on the printed board, a recessed portion is formed in the peripheral portions of the holes on the rear surface of the rubber contact sheet, and heat generated by soldering of the lead lines is prevented from being directly transmitted to the rubber contact sheet.
Abstract:
A small toroidal inductor is mounted by inserting a high valued resistor or a ceramic coil form into the central hole of the toroid. The fine leads of the inductor are then soldered to the much stiffer leads of the part that has been inserted. These stiffer leads may be bent in any desired way, and will hold their shape. This makes insertion easier and is strong enough to withstand the necessary amounts of shock and vibration. The toroid may be glued or otherwise affixed with an adhesive to the resistor or coil form.
Abstract:
An electronic component is provided which comprises a resin package for enclosing inside parts, and at least one lead terminal projecting out from the resin package to have a bonding end. The lead terminal is bent to provide an armpit-like portion between the lead terminal and the resin package for retaining a solder wire in a sandwiched state. At the time of mounting the electronic component to a circuit board, the solder wire be caused to melt at a soldering temperature for merging with solder fillets along the bonding end of the lead terminal.
Abstract:
A self centering coil (200) includes a coil section (202) and also having curved end section (206) and (204) at opposite sides of the coil section (202). The curved end sections are preferably substantially flat and in a plane which is parallel to the center axis (306) of the coiled section (202).
Abstract:
An operation device for an electronic apparatus comprises an indication board, a plurality of electric elements arranged at predetermined parts of the indication board, and a frame having a plurality of elastic pushing members formed in positions corresponding to the electric elements respectively. The surface of each of the pushing members is provided with a conductor part which is connected to an electrical wiring provided on the frame. Each of the electric elements is sandwiched and carried, with electrical connection, between the indication board and the frame.
Abstract:
A method for arranging components to be mounted on circuit packs to achieve improved cooling is disclosed. In accordance with one aspect of the invention, components are arranged such that the longer dimension of each component is substantially parallel to the flow of a heat carrier as it streams from an inlet to an outlet. In accordance with another aspect of the invention, those components having larger aspect ratios are substantially placed near the outlet via which the heat carrier is removed.
Abstract:
An oximeter sensor assembly (40) includes a thin elongated flexible sheet-like strip (42) having an integral end portion (44) for flexibly wrapping at least partially around a human body part (26), a plurality of electrical conductors (46-50) on the strip, light emitting and receiving electrical components (28a, 30a) mounted on the strip on the end portion and electrically connected to the conductors, and encoding means provided by a pair of auxiliary conductors (202, 204) and resistance material (206) therebetween for providing signals to the oximeter indicative of the known wavelength of the light emitting electrical component for calibrating the oximeter.

An oximeter sensory assembly (40) includes a thin elongated flexible sheet-like strip (42) having an integral end portion (44) flexibly wrapping at least partially around a human body part (26), a plurality of electrical conductors (46-50) on the strip, and light emitting and receiving electrical components (28a, 30a) mounted on the strip on the end portion and electrically connected to the conductors. Flexible conductive encompassing shielding layers (62, 66) are also provided, together with outer insulating layers (61, 67). Connection adapter structure (94) is also provided.
Abstract:
A vehicle lamp is mounted on vehicles such as automobiles. The lamp has an inner chamber constructed by a lamp housing and a lens, respectively having long shapes. In the chamber, there is a long light source fixing face member on which plural light sources are fixed. All light sources or electric bulbs are neatly fitted to convex or concave guide portions. Circuit patterns are printed on an inner face of the housing. Terminals of the light sources come into contact with the circuit patterns. The housing is made of particular synthetic resin having a good heat conductivity, so that no heat is accumulated in the chamber.
Abstract:
An electronic component with leads each having a bonding portion is disclosed. Each bonding portion is formed with a through hole or a notch to provide for satisfactory soldering and reduce the possibility of defective soldering.
