    摘要: In a conventional word processing apparatus provided with a users' dictionary memory into or from which arbitrary words such as proper nouns can be stored or deleted, each word to be stored or deleted into or from the users' dictionary memory is required to be pointed out by a cursor in the case of the memory mode and to be pointed out by a print head in the case of the typewriter mode. Thus, a word processing apparatus is provided with a storage controlling arrangement for storing the word nearest to a pointer element of an outputting medium, which is a display or a printer, into the users' dictionary memory and a delete controlling arrangement for deleting the word nearest to the pointer element of the outputting medium from the users' dictionary memory.

    摘要: A developing device for an image forming apparatus of a non-magnetic one-component type. The developing device has a developing roller having a body and a shaft. Bearings for supporting the shaft have a groove made in a contact surface that is in contact with the shaft, and grease is pooled in the groove. The contact surface of the shaft has a surface roughness from 0.2 to 0.5, and the grease has consistency from 265 to 385 ( 1/10 mm·20° C.).

    摘要: A 44-bp region that confers vitamin D3-responsiveness to the human p27Kip1 promoter in the human p27Kip1 transcriptional regulatory mechanism was revealed. This region also conferred vitamin D3-responsiveness to a heterogenous promoter. Moreover, it was found that vitamin D3 enhances the binding between the CCAAT box existing in the region and the NF-Y protein and also the binding between the Sp1 sequence (also existing in the region) and the Sp1 protein, thus inducing human p27Kip1 transcription. Also revealed were methods of screening for pharmaceutical agents that regulate the expression of the p27Kip1 gene using these molecular mechanisms.

    摘要: A water processing method for providing a gettering sink effect to a wafer having a plurality of streets which are formed in a lattice pattern on the front surface of a substrate and devices which are formed in a plurality of areas sectioned by the plurality of streets, comprising the steps of removing distortion produced on the rear surface of the substrate of the wafer whose rear surface of the substrate has been ground to a predetermined thickness; forming a gettering sink effect layer by applying a laser beam of a wavelength having permeability for the substrate of the wafer which has undergone the distortion removing step, with its focal point set to the inside of the substrate to form a deteriorated layer in the inside of the substrate; and dividing the wafer which has undergone the gettering sink effect layer forming step, into individual chips along the streets.
