Abstract:
A coating composition for a lubricating coating film includes: (A) a phenolic resin (B) an epoxy resin having an epoxy equivalent weight of 600 to 4000; and (C) at least one type of solid lubricant. The epoxy equivalent weight is generally defined by the number average molecular weight per the number of epoxy groups in a single molecule. The coating composition has a weight ratio of component (A) to the total weight of component (A) and component (B) of at least 50 weight %. A lubricating coating film, formed from the coating composition, has a high level of flexibility on surfaces of various base materials.
Abstract:
An enhanced lubricant formulation is provided as a formulation that improves upon existing lubricant systems by enhancing the tribological properties. The formulation utilizes inorganic cylindrical lattice (ICL) nanoparticles combined with an existing lubricant to reduce friction and recondition the interfacing surfaces of moving parts. The ICL nanoparticles are symmetrical and cylindrical structure that provides a rolling effect between two interfacing surfaces. The ICL nanoparticles additionally exfoliate portions of their lamellar exterior as a tribological film that reduces the surface roughness on interfacing surfaces resulting in a decrease in friction. The formulation reduces the requirement for frequent replacement of the lubricant and additionally provides improved performance under conditions of extreme temperature and pressure.
Abstract:
A swash plate type compressor is arranged with a plurality of semispherical shoes and a disc shaped swash plate. A resin coating having a honeycomb structure is formed on a surface and a rear surface (sliding surface) of the swatch plate which slides with the shoe. An edge part (top end) of each of the multiple cylinder bodies which forms the resin coating layer are at the same plane and forms a sliding surface which slides with the shoe. In addition, an interior space of each cylinder body forms a storage part of a lubricant and a container part for foreign objects. The swash plate can be provided with excellent wear resistance, seizure resistance and lubrication retention.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for coating AI-Cr-0 coatings with the help of a PVD-coating process. The PVD-coating process is performed with the help of Al and Cr comprising targets which are doped with Si. The doping of Si prevents the forming of oxide islands on the target during the reactive coating process.

Abstract:
A solid lubricant formulation useful for lubricating the flanges of locomotive wheels, railcar wheels, rail tracks and in applications where it is desirable to reduce friction when metal contacts metal. The solid lubricant formulation including at least one non-polylactic acid-based polymeric carrier, at least one polylactic acid-based polymer, and at least one lubricant powder.
Abstract:
There is provided a lubricant composition which includes: a first particle having a spherical shape having a diameter of 1 to 300 nm, having a Mohs hardness of 5 or more, at an amount of 0.01 to 40 weight %; and a second particle, having a diameter of 500 nm to 50 μm, having a Brinell hardness of 17 HB or less, at an amount of 0.01 to 40 weight %. The lubricant composition can form a bearing structure when the lubricant composition is subjected to an extreme pressure. The second particles are deformed into a retainer for the first particle.
Abstract:
A method for treatment of bacterial infections with rifalazil administered once-weekly, or twice-weekly. A method for treatment of tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, infections caused by Mycobacterium avium complex, infections caused by Chlamydia pneumoniae and infections caused by Helicobacter pylori by administering to a patient suffering from the bacterial infection 1-100 mg of rifalazil once or twice a week. In this dose regimen, the treatment is fast, efficacious and eliminates undesirable secondary symptoms observed with daily doses of 1-50 mg of rifalazil.
