摘要: A medical device for detecting at least one analyte in a body fluid, a method for assembling the medical device and a method of using the medical device are disclosed. The medical device comprises:
an analyte sensor having an insertable portion;
an insertion cannula receiving the insertable portion of the analyte sensor;
an electronics unit connected with the analyte sensor; and
a housing comprising an electronics compartment receiving the electronics unit and—a sensor compartment receiving the analyte sensor,
the sensor compartment forming a sealed compartment receiving the insertable portion of the analyte sensor,
the sealed compartment comprising detachable upper and lower caps,
the lower cap configured for detachment before insertion,
the insertion cannula being attached to the upper cap, wherein detaching the upper cap after insertion removes the insertion cannula,
wherein the electronics compartment at least partially surrounds the sensor compartment.-

摘要: Reusable garments and personal care products that have diagnostics embedded therein can be a 2-in-1 diagnostic and hygiene tool. In one example, a reusable menstrual pad with diagnostics embedded therein can serve as a low-cost detection tool for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in developing regions. The pad, e.g., cloth-based sanitary napkin, can house a diagnostic mechanism so when menstrual blood hits the surface of the pad while in use, the mechanism—or testing strip—can process the blood to test it for HPV markers. The pad can address a complex problem by leveraging the monthly frequency of menstrual cycles to routinely test for HPV.

摘要: A device for collecting a physiological sample from a subject includes a lancet and a cartridge configured to couple to the lancet. The needle is configured to puncture the subject's skin. The lancet is configured to automatically deploy the needle when coupled to the lancet which allows the needle to puncture the subject's skin and draw a physiological sample. The device further includes a vial disposed within the cartridge. The vial is configured to receive the drawn physiological sample.

摘要: A biological fluid sampling transfer device adapted to receive a multi-component blood sample is disclosed. After collecting the blood sample, the biological fluid sampling transfer device is able to separate a plasma portion from a cellular portion. After separation, the biological fluid sampling transfer device is able to transfer the plasma portion of the blood sample to a point-of-care testing device. The biological fluid sampling transfer device also provides a closed sampling and transfer system that reduces the exposure of a blood sample and provides fast mixing of a blood sample with a sample stabilizer. The biological fluid sampling transfer device is engageable with a blood testing device for closed transfer of a portion of the plasma portion from the biological fluid sampling transfer device to the blood testing device. The blood testing device is adapted to receive the plasma portion to analyze the blood sample and obtain test results.

Each filament of the array of filaments can further comprise an insulating layer configured to isolate regions defined by the conductive layer for analyte detection, a sensing layer coupled to the conductive layer, configured to enable transduction, and a selective coating coupled to the sensing layer, configured to facilitate detection of specific target analytes/ions. The microsensor facilitates detection of at least one analyte present in a body fluid of a user interfacing with the microsensor.

摘要: Transdermal microneedles continuous monitoring system is provided. The continuous system monitoring includes a substrate, a microneedle unit, a signal processing unit and a power supply unit. The microneedle unit at least comprises a first microneedle set used as a working electrode and a second microneedle set used as a reference electrode, the first and second microneedle sets arranging on the substrate. Each microneedle set comprises at least a microneedle. The first microneedle set comprises at least a sheet having a through hole on which a barbule forms at the edge. One of the sheets provides the through hole from which the barbules at the edge of the other sheets go through, and the barbules are disposed separately.
