A water-soluble pouch for coloring a water-based coating, such as a paint or a stucco, is disclosed. The water-soluble pouch includes first and second sheets of water-soluble material that are plastically deformed and at least partially joined together such that interior surfaces of the first and second sheets cooperate to define at least one interior chamber. The first and second sheets are at least partially joined together by way of a bonding process. One or more pigments are contained within the at least one interior chamber. The water-soluble pouch is configured to dissolve and release the one or more pigments into the water-based coating when mixed with the water-based coating for at least a predetermined period of time. A method for coloring a water-based coating is also disclosed.

The concentrate comprises a solvent/carrier comprising water, wall texture material, a first anti-corrosion material, where the first anti-corrosion material is a phosphate ester and comprises approximately 0.1-5.0% by weight of the concentrate, and a second anti-corrosion material, where the second anti-corrosion material is sodium nitrite and comprises approximately 0.25-2.00% by weight of the concentrate. The concentrate is disposed within the container assembly such that the water is exposed to the inner surface of the container assembly. At least one of the first and second anti-corrosion materials forms a film that inhibits corrosion on tin-plated steel forming at least part of the inner surface of the container assembly.

The invention provides a method of preparing an aqueous dispersion of polymer encapsulated particulate material, the method comprising: providing a dispersion of the particulate material in a continuous aqueous phase, the dispersion comprising RAFT agent as a stabiliser for the particulate material; and polymerising ethylenically unsaturated monomer under the control of the RAFT agent to form polymer at the surface of the dispersed particulate material, thereby providing the aqueous dispersion of polymer encapsulated particulate material; wherein polymerisation of the ethylenically unsaturated monomer comprises: (a) polymerising a monomer composition that includes ionisable ethylenically unsaturated monomer so as to form a base responsive water swellable RAFT polymer layer that encapsulates the particulate material; and (b) polymerising a monomer composition that includes non-ionisable ethylenically unsaturated monomer so as to form an extensible, water and base permeable RAFT polymer layer that encapsulates the base responsive water swellable RAFT polymer layer.

The coating compositions A and B are different from each other and coating composition A comprises (i) binder solids, (ii) free polyisocyanate, (iii) a pigment content free of special effect pigments and comprising carbon black pigment and/or titanium dioxide pigment, and (iv) talcum filler.
