The present invention provides: a rubber composition obtained by mixing 30 to 80 parts by mass of carbon black, whose DBP absorption value and CTAB adsorption specific surface area satisfy the following relational formulas (I) and (II), into 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, wherein macrodispersion D (%) of the carbon black in the rubber composition is 1% or more and less than 10%, and the rubber composition has high performance and excellent processability such as roll workability and the like; and a rubber product such as a tire having reduced rolling resistance and excellent fatigue resistance and abrasion resistance. The invention relates to a polymer-clay composite material comprising clay nanoparticles and a polymer, and wherein (a) the polymer comprises phosphate and/or phosphonate ligands; or (b) the polymer-clay composite further comprises linker molecules comprising a phosphate or phosphonate ligand, wherein the linker molecules are arranged to be anchored to the polymer. The invention further relates to organoclays, BMP-clay composite material. Uses, treatments, and manufacturer of the material are also provided.

A die attach paste composition comprising (a) an organosilicone resin; (b) a single crystal alumina filler; (c) a hardener; and (d) an inhibitor. By using single crystal alumina filler in a silicone based die attach paste, thermal conductivity and anti-yellowing properties are improved in comparison with other spherical alumina particles at the same filler loading content.

An object of the present invention is to provide a rubber composition for a tire, capable of achieving both good rolling resistance properties and good wear resistance in a sufficiently compatible manner when the rubber composition is applied to a component member of a tire. Specifically, the present invention provides a rubber composition comprising a rubber composition and hydrated silica, wherein “CTAB” (m2/g) as specific surface area by cetyltrimethylammonium bromide adsorption and “IB” as ink bottle-shaped micropore index, of the hydrated silica, satisfy a specific relationship and “weight loss on ignition” as weight loss when the hydrate silicate is heated at 750° C. for 3 hours and “weight loss on heating” as weight loss when the hydrate silicate is heated at 105° C. for 2 hours satisfy a specific relationship.

The EPDM composition is made of (a) an EPDM polymer, (b) liquid polyolefin oligomer, and (c) carbon black, the EPDM composition containing 100 parts by weight of EPDM polymer that is the EPDM polymer of (a) having a propylene content of 35 to 50 wt % in the total amount of ethylene and propylene, 5 to 30 parts by weight of liquid polyolefin oligomer that is the liquid polyolefin oligomer of (b) having a number average molecular weight Mn within a range of 3,000 to 4,000, and 10 to 120 parts by weight of carbon black that is the carbon black of (c) having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area within a range of 100 to 150 m2/g, an iodine adsorption within a range of 110 to 160 mg/g, and a DBP oil absorption within a range of 70 to 135 cm3/100 g.

A carbon black product comprises aggregates of carbon black characterized as having an OAN of between 139 and 149 ml/100 g, a COAN of between 95 and 105 ml/100 g, an iodine adsorption number I2 No of between 52 and 62 mg/g, and a multipoint nitrogen adsorption N2SA of between 54 and 64 m2/g. Tires manufactured with the carbon black product exhibit low rolling resistance and low heat build-up under service conditions.

A rubber composition for tire inhibits increase in a Mooney viscosity and has satisfactory processability, abrasion resistance and mechanical strength. The rubber composition for tire comprises: 10 to 120 parts by mass of silica having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 150 m2/g or more, based on 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, and 1 to 25 parts by mass of a silane coupling agent comprising a polysulfide coupling agent represented by the following formula (1), based on 100 parts by mass of the silica, wherein the polysulfide coupling agent comprises 83 to 87% by mass of disulfide of x=2 measured by high performance liquid chromatography and has a pH value of 7.7 to 8.2, (wherein x is an integer of 1 or more and has a distribution).
