Abstract: A lithium adsorbent includes an aluminum-based adsorbing material, a binder, and a wetting and dispersing agent. The binder includes at least one of a vinylidene fluoride-chlorotrifluoroethylene (VDF-CTFE) copolymer and a fluoroolefin-vinyl ether copolymer. The wetting and dispersing agent includes one or more of polyethylene glycol, sodium polyacrylate, polyvinyl alcohol, and formaldehyde condensate.

Abstract: A lightweight modified filter material, a preparation method therefor and use thereof, the lightweight modified filter material being prepared from the following components in parts by mass: 75-100 parts of waste glass, 5-20 parts of a metal oxide modifier and 1-10 parts of a foamer. The lightweight modified filter material has the advantages of being lightweight, having large specific surface area, a high isoelectric point, porosity and the like, increasing the isoelectric point and service life of the filter material. The added metal oxide can be combined with SiO2 in the glass to form Si—O-Me (Me metal ions) and enter the glass network.

The present invention provides an integrated method of preparing an alkyl aromatic compound by alkylating an aromatic compound with an olefin using a filter structure as a solid catalyst carrier for alkylating an aromatic compound with an olefin, and of regenerating the deactivated solid alkylation catalyst, thereby realizing simpler and less expensive processing than conventional processes.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide apparatuses, methods and systems for scalable fabrication of thin, nanoporous membranes useful in industrial applications. One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a molecular separation device configured to efficiently separate molecular species. In this particular embodiment, porous hollow fibers form a supporting scaffold for synthesis of a molecular organic framework (MOF) membrane. The MOF membrane may be synthesized on the inner or outer porous hollow fiber surface as well as within the porous fiber wall. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a variety of methods for producing the aforementioned molecular separation devices as well as methods for producing MOF membranes.

Abstract: A process comprising: placing a boronizing powder composition in the interior of a metal pipe comprising a first end, a second end, an inside surface and an outside surface; heating the pipe in a vessel having an interior, to a temperature from 1400° F. to 1900° F., thereby forming spent boronizing reaction gases and a borided layer on the inside surface, wherein the vessel interior has an atmosphere that surrounds the outside surface of the metal pipe; and flowing the spent boronizing reaction gases into the atmosphere surrounding the outside surface of the pipe, thereby forming an oxygen-depleted atmosphere.
