摘要: A filamentary occlusion assembly includes a longitudinal filamentary element of biocompatible material, such as small intestine submucosa. To provide the filamentary element with both longitudinal rigidity and radiopacity, a pliable radiopaque wire is wound around the filamentary element. It is wound such that spaced radiopaque marker regions are formed by winding the radiopaque wire with a small pitch. These are separated by spacer sections where the radiopaque wire is coiled with a much greater pitch. The filamentary occlusion assembly can be delivered using a small diameter catheter to fill an aneurysmal sac.

摘要: This disclosure provides a sol-gel hybrid coating composition, comprising a sol-gel precursor, a polymer and a solvent, wherein the sol-gel precursor comprises tetraethyl orthosilicate and the polymer comprises polyurethane and polyacrylic. This disclosure also provides a coating process, comprising: subjecting a light metal to micro-arc oxidation treatment to form a first protection layer on the light metal, and coating the sol-gel hybrid coating composition onto the first protection layer to form a second protection layer. This disclosure further provides composite coating layers, comprising: a first layer obtained by micro-arc oxidation treatment, and a second layer obtained by dip coating with the sol-gel hybrid coating composition.

摘要: A method of enhancing surface electrical conductivity of an article formed of a conductive polymer material, such as a conductive polymer film, includes the step of providing an article formed of a conductive polymer . The conductive polymer is made up of a dielectric polymeric material and conductive fibers. A desired pressure is applied to at least a portion of the article while simultaneously heating at least a portion of the article to a desired temperature. The desired pressure and the desired temperature are maintained on at least a portion of the article for a desired time period. This method reduces a polymer-rich skin layer on the surface of the conductive polymer material and helps to randomize the orientation of the conductive fibers on the surface.

In an embodiment, a drug delivery coating is included herein having a base polymeric layer, the base polymeric layer including a hydrophilic polyether block amide copolymer and having a hydrophilic surface. The drug delivery coating can further include a therapeutic agent layer forming an exterior surface the drug delivery coating, the therapeutic agent layer contacting the hydrophilic surface of the base polymeric layer and having a composition different than the base polymeric layer, the therapeutic agent layer including a particulate hydrophobic therapeutic agent and a cationic agent. 摘要: A golf ball includes a thermoplastic HNP inner core layer having a center hardness less than the surface hardness to define a positive hardness gradient. An outer core layer is formed from a thermoset rubber composition. The core layer has an inner surface hardness less than the outer surface hardness to define a positive hardness gradient of 3 to 30 Shore D. Inner and outer cover layers are disposed about the outer core layer. The HNP composition includes an acid copolymer of ethylene and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid; a non-acid polymer comprising polyolefins, polyamides, polyesters, polyethers, polyurethanes, metallocene-catalyzed polymers, single-site catalyst polymerized polymers, ethylene propylene rubber, ethylene propylene diene rubber, styrenic block copolymer rubbers, alkyl acrylate rubbers, or functionalized derivatives thereof; an organic acid or salt thereof; and a cation source in an amount sufficient to neutralize at least about 80% of the acid groups.

摘要: The present invention relates to an electrostatic dissipative thermoplastic polyurethane composition made by reacting (a) at least one polyester polyol intermediate with (b) at least one diisocyanate and (c) at least one chain extender. The polyester polyol intermediate, may be derived from at least one dialkylene glycol and at least one dicarboxylic acid, or an ester or anhydride thereof. The invention further provides for methods of making said thermoplastic polyurethane composition, polymer blends containing said thermoplastic and polymer articles made from said thermoplastic.
