摘要: A patient monitor (12) includes a display (14) and sensors (20, 22, 24) reading vital signs of a human subject. In a cardiovascular early warning scoring (cEWS) method, the human subject is classified using a plurality of cardiovascular deterioration classifiers (52, 152, 54, 56, 58) each trained respective to a different type of cardiovascular deterioration. The cardiovascular deterioration classifiers operate on a set of inputs characterizing the human subject including the at least one cardiovascular parameter (42) and the at least one respiratory parameter (44), such as tidal volume read by an airflow sensor (24). The cardiovascular early warning scores for the different types of cardiovascular deterioration are outputted on the display of the patient monitor. An empirical myocardial ischemia classifier (52) may be combined with at least one additional ischemia score generated by applying a set of rules (160) or a physiological model (162).

摘要: A mattress for resting or sleeping of a person includes a sensor arranged in connection with the mattress for determining the heart rate and/or the heart rate variation and/or breathing disturbances and/or the respiratory frequency and/or the categories of sleep that are affected by the person's movements and/or micromovements. An electronic unit is connected to the sensor with a cable. Canals are arranged within the mattress for the sensor, the electronic unit and the cable. In addition, the sensor is placed near a first end of the mattress while the electronic unit is located at the other end of the mattress.

摘要: This relates to a monitoring system capable of measuring a plurality of vital signs. The monitoring system can include a plurality of sensors including, but not limited to, electrodes, piezoelectric sensors, temperature sensors, and accelerometers. The monitoring system can be capable of operating in one or more operation modes such as, for example: capacitance measurement mode, electrical measurement mode, piezoelectric measurement mode, temperature measurement mode, acceleration measurement mode, impedance measurement mode, and standby mode. Based on the measured values, the monitoring system can analyze the user's sleep, provide feedback and suggestions to the user, and/or can adjust or control the environmental conditions to improve the user's sleep. The monitoring system can further be capable of analyzing the sleep of the user(s) without directly contacting or attaching uncomfortable probes to the user(s) and without having to analyze the sleep in an unknown environment (e.g., a medical facility).

摘要: A device and to a system and a method for transmitting stimuli to a user. The stimuli can include stimuli caused by electrical muscle stimulation or haptic stimuli such as vibrations. The system simplifies the use of the corresponding stimuli inter alia in that parameters can be measured during the use and the type and specificity of the stimuli can be changed depending on the measured parameters. The systems, devices and methods are particularly suitable for use in sports.

摘要: One or more sensors and/or sensing techniques are used individually or in combination to detect and/or measure heart rate and/or heart rate variability. The sensors may be wearable and/or portable and may operate on different principles and may include different power profiles. The sensors and/or sensing techniques may be used at the same time or at different times that may overlap partially or completely, or may be mutually exclusive. A controller may select one or more sensors and/or sensing techniques based on operating conditions and/or based on conservation of power.

摘要: A method and system for measuring respiratory rate are disclosed. In a first aspect, the method comprises measuring at least one respiration signal and filtering the respiration signal using a lowpass filter. The method includes peak-picking the respiration signal to determine the respiratory rate and determining a quality metric of the respiratory rate. In a second aspect, the system comprises a wireless sensor device coupled to a user via at least one electrode, wherein the wireless sensor device includes a processor and a memory device coupled to the processor, wherein the memory device stores an application which, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to carry out the steps of the method.

摘要: A computer-implemented method of assessing a stress condition of a subject (106) includes receiving (302), as input, a heartbeat record (200) of the subject. The heartbeat record comprises a sequence of heartbeat data samples obtained over a time span which includes a pre-sleep period (208), a sleep period (209) having a sleep onset time (224) and a sleep conclusion time (226), and a post-sleep period (210). At least the sleep onset time and the sleep conclusion time are identified (304) within the heartbeat record. A knowledge base (124) is then accessed (306), which comprises data obtained via expert evaluation of a training set of subjects and which embodies a computational model of a relationship between stress condition and heart rate characteristics. Using information in the knowledge base, the computational model is applied (308) to compute at least one metric associated with the stress condition of the subject, and to generate an indication of stress condition based upon the metric. The indication of stress condition is provided (310) as output.

摘要: A system for monitoring health parameters of a user includes a housing including: a plurality of sensors disposed on an outer surface of the housing or within the housing for measuring a plurality of parameters of interest; a processor disposed in the housing and communicatively coupled to the plurality of sensors; a coupling element on the housing for coupling the housing to an accessory; and an accessory identifier positioned on or within the housing and communicatively coupled to the processor. In some embodiments, the housing is reversibly transitionable between an uncoupled state and a coupled state with the accessory. In the coupled state, the accessory identifier senses a type of accessory and the processor activates a subset of the plurality of sensors to measure a subset of the plurality of parameters of interest. In some embodiments, the user is a pregnant female and a fetus developing in the pregnant female.
