Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a massager device, system, and method. A massager is configured to communicate (directly or indirectly) a user feedback message to a target in response to a determination that an event has occurred. The massager may be a sexual aid. User feedback messages may be generated based on various pre-sets and/or user selections established to determine a message medium type, content for inclusion in the user feedback message, the target, the event, and other customizations. The content of the user feedback messages may be generated according to a content selection method, such as random, user-customized, pre-sets, categorical, or based on usage parameters, such as biometric, massager settings, and temporal data.
Abstract:
A multimodal haptic device operating as a closed-loop system, the device including a pipeline configured to allow a closed-loop flow of a fluid medium, a manifold operatively connected to the pipeline, the manifold having a pump and a valve to control and regulate a flow of the fluid medium along the pipeline, and a display unit operatively connected to the pipeline, the display unit having a tactile display and a valve operatively connected to the tactile display for regulating an efflux of the fluid medium from the tactile display into the pipeline.
Abstract:
The invention provides a non-invasive device (100) for skin rejuvenation using a treatment pressure below ambient pressure, and provides a method and a computer program product. The non-invasive device comprises a suction chamber (110) having a skin contact surface (115) comprising an opening (120) for exposing the skin tissue (200) to the suction chamber for applying a suction force to an outer surface (210) of the skin tissue. The opening in the suction chamber is less than 10 square millimeters. The suction chamber is dimensioned so as to allow it to be manually applied to the outer surface of the skin tissue. The non-invasive device further comprises a controller (140) for controlling a level of treatment pressure (Pt) inside the suction chamber (110) and for controlling an application time interval (Δt) of the treatment pressure for damaging an interface (225) between an epidermis layer (220) and a dermis layer (230) of the skin tissue.
Abstract:
A high-frequency cosmetic treatment apparatus capable of preventing local heating of a skin is provided. The high-frequency cosmetic treatment apparatus includes: a portable casing; side-by-side electrodes disposed at a tip portion of the casing with a predetermined interval provided therebetween, and having treatment surfaces to be contacted with a skin of a user; and a first power supply disposed in the casing, and to supply a high-frequency current to the pair of side-by-side electrodes.
Abstract:
A device for applying electrical stimulation to a surface of the human body utilizes a calibrated, pre-arranged pattern of conducting, current emitting elements to distribute current throughout an entire surface at once, such as human face, without needing to alter the device to accommodate various are sizes, including varying face sizes.
Abstract:
A method for relief of pain comprises applying skin stimulation along one or two treatment lines traversing vertically the scalp of the subject above the eyes thereof. Skin stimulation may be accomplished by one or several techniques including acupuncture, corona discharge, applying an electromagnetic field, massaging, vibration, subcutaneous injection of stimulating fluids, light, or heating. Suitable head-mounted devices supporting skin stimulation units are described to allow self-use by the subject itself or the method to be administered by a medical personnel.
Abstract:
Apparatus for automatic delivery of chest compressions and ventilation to a patient, the apparatus including: a chest compressing device configured to deliver compression phases during which pressure is applied to compress the chest and decompression phases during which approximately zero pressure is applied to the chest a ventilator configured to deliver positive, negative, or approximately zero pressure to the airway; control circuitry and processor, wherein the circuitry and processor are configured to cause the chest compressing device to repeatedly deliver a set containing a plurality of systolic flow cycles, each systolic flow cycle comprising a systolic decompression phase and a systolic compression phase, and at least one diastolic flow cycle interspersed between sets of systolic flow cycles, each diastolic flow cycle comprising a diastolic decompression phase and a diastolic compression phase, wherein the diastolic decompression phase is substantially longer than the systolic decompression phase.
Abstract:
Systems and methods directed to the art of therapeutic thermal compression are provided. A therapeutic device capable of providing various therapeutic stimuli, including thermal energy transfer and applied pressure. The therapeutic device has a heating/cooling system, a temperature moderating system, a compression system, and a control system which controls the amount of pressure applied, the degree of temperature applied, and the duration of each application of therapeutic stimuli.
Abstract:
It comprises a Peltier cell with electrical supply means (2) for said Peltier cell, which is located between two conducting plates (3, 4), a first (3) cold conducting plate which will remain facing the patient's skin and a second heat conducting plate (4) in contact with cooling means (5) thereof, mean for measuring the temperature (12) of first conducting plate (3) with said head piece also being connected to an impeller pump and a heat exchanger located outside the head piece and in that first conducting plate (3) is coated with a low thermal conductivity material, and in that it comprises vibration means (7) connected to said first conducting plate (3) which vibrates while cold is transmitted to the patient's skin.
