Abstract: A method and network gateway are provided for routing network traffic between internet service providers (ISPs) based on dynamic communication quality of the ISPs. Dynamic communication quality of the ISPs are monitored and compared by processor circuitry of the network gateway. When a session-based connection is being transmitted on an ISP having dynamic communication quality that does not meet a required communication quality of the connection, the processor circuitry transitions the session-based connection to an ISP meeting the required communication quality of the connection.

Abstract: A data transmission method for to a data center including a first site and a second site is disclosed. According to the data transmission method, after obtaining a first data packet sent by a virtual machine at the first site, a switch at the first site identifies a service type of the first data packet, and determines routing information of the first data packet based on the service type of the first data packet; and after determining the routing information, the switch sends the first data packet based on the routing information, where the routing information is used to indicate a bearer link for transmitting the first data packet, and a link through which the first data packet is transmitted to the second site is the bearer link. In this way, the first data packet may be transmitted through a link that corresponds to the service type of the first data packet.

Abstract: Techniques are described for predicting future behavior of links in a network and generating dynamic thresholds for link metrics for use in path selection. In one example, a computing system receives historical values of a link metric for links of a network. The computing system executes a machine learning system which processes the historical values of the link metric to generate: (1) a predicted future value of the link metric for each link; and (2) a threshold for the link metric indicating whether the predicted future value for each link is anomalous. The computing system computes a path based on the predicted future values of the link metric and the threshold for the link metric. The computing system provisions the computed path, thereby enabling a network device to forward network traffic along the computed path.

Abstract: Network requests can be automatically routed between two or more computer subsystems in some examples. In one such example, a system can determine that a user is eligible for a service based on usage data relating to an account of the user. Based on determining that the account is eligible for the service, the system can activate the service for the user by communicating with a service subsystem. Subsequent to activating the service for the user, the system can receive a network request associated with the user and determine that the network request has a characteristic. Based on determining that the network request has the characteristic, the system can forward the request to the service subsystem. The service subsystem can complete the network request using the service.

Abstract: A method to broker events of event-driven application components, within a distributed computing environment and using a mesh broker, is described. The mesh broker is instantiated as several mesh agents, the mesh agents being provisioned to support mediation activities relating to a plurality of computational nodes within the distributed computing environment. The mesh agents are further deployed as a mesh network among the computational nodes of the distributed computing environment. A connectivity catalog stores cost data associated with transmission of an event notification between each of multiple pairs of computational nodes of the computational nodes. Routes across the mesh network are automatically selected, by the mesh agents and using the cost data to determine low-cost routes across the mesh network.

Abstract: A first router generates session establishment metrics for use in network path selection. For example, a plurality of routers connect a client device to a network service instance hosted by a server. A first router is connected to the network service instance via first and second paths. The first router receives session performance requirements for a session between the client device and the network service instance. The first router forwards, along the first path, network traffic for the session by modifying a first packet of the session to include a session identifier for the session. The first router determines that session establishment metrics for the session do not satisfy the session performance requirements. In response, the first router forwards, along the second path, the network traffic for the session by modifying a second packet of the session to include the session identifier for the session.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to facilitate network egress fairness between applications. At an egress port of a network, an arbitrator can provide fairness-based traffic shaping to data associated with applications. The desired fairness-based traffic shaping can be provided based on bandwidth, traffic classes, or other parameters. Consequently, the egress link’s bandwidth can be allocated with fairness among the applications.

Abstract: In an example, a method includes computing, by a computing device, for a segment routing policy that specifies a bandwidth constraint for the segment routing policy, first shortest paths through a network of network nodes, wherein each shortest path of the first shortest paths represents a different sequence of links connecting pairs of the network nodes from a source to a destination; in response to determining, by the computing device based on the bandwidth constraint for the segment routing policy, a link of one of the first shortest paths has insufficient bandwidth to meet a required bandwidth for the link, increasing a metric of the link; computing, by the computing device, for the segment routing policy that specifies the bandwidth constraint, based on the increased metric of the link, second shortest paths through the network of network nodes; and provisioning the second shortest paths in the network of nodes.

Abstract: A multicast routing method and an interconnection device for a mesh network system, a mesh network system and a configuration method thereof are provided. The method includes, at each internal interconnection device among multiple interconnection devices of each processing subsystem: in response to receiving a multicast access request to a destination memory, determining a shortest path from each internal interconnection device to the destination memory based on a topology structure of the mesh network system; where the internal interconnection device has no link connected to an external processing subsystem; in response to determining that the number of the shortest path is equal to one, routing the multicast access request to the destination memory along the shortest path; in response to determining that the number of the shortest path is greater than one, determining a next-hop interconnection device for the multicast access request based on a second static routing policy.
