    摘要: A control system is provided for servo hydraulic pressure in a vehicular automatic transmission having planetary gear mechanisms. Shifting elements of the mechanisms can be connected to establish a different power flow in accordance with engagement or release of frictional engagement devices under the control of servo hydraulic pressure to achieve plural speed stages. The system comprises a servo pressure feed line for feeding, even in a non-running range, servo hydraulic pressure to at least one particular device out of plural frictional engagement devices which are caused to simultaneously engage in a reverse range of the transmission, a directional control valve disposed in the line to control feed or drain of the servo hydraulic pressure to or from said particular device through the line, and a solenoid valve for controlling the control valve to prevent the feed of the servo hydraulic pressure at vehicle speeds above a predetermined value.

    摘要: A rotating member such as a sprocket to be coupled with a shaft is formed with a fitting bore which extends on the center axis and opens at at least one of its axial end portions. The rotating member is arranged in and rotatably held by a case such that its fitting bore opens toward the outside of the case. The shaft is inserted into and coupled with the fitting bore held in the case such that it can rotate integrally with the rotating member. This rotating member is formed with an air communication portion for providing communication between the inside and outside of the fitting bore and equipped with a valve for opening or closing the air communication portion. The valve may be opened in response to the rise or drop in the internal pressure of a fitting bore, by the pressure of the shaft or by a centrifugal force. With the valve being closed, lubrication oil in the case is prevented from leaking. When the valve is opened, on the other hand, the air in the fitting bore is released, or the atmospheric air is introduced into the fitting bore. As a result, the insertion or extraction of the shaft is prevented from being obstructed even with fluctuations in the internal pressure of the fitting bore.

    摘要: Herein disclosed is a transaxle casing to be used with a transverse type automatic transmission. An arcuate partition extending from the top to the bottom of a transmission gear case is disposed between the radially outermost rotary member of the transmission gear seat and a cover wall and in front of the transmission gear set with respect to the running direction of a vehicle. An oil sump is disposed below the transmission gear set. Thus, the lubricating oil splashed away the rotary member is guided into an oil return passage extending between the partition and the cover wall and opening into the oil sump so that it may be prevented from being caught again by the transmission gear set and heated to a high temperature.

    摘要: An automatic transmission includes a fluid torque converter and a first and second gear transmission mechanisn, each of which has two coaxial drive members--a power input member and a power output member--and is selectable to any one of several speed radios. Rotational power is output from the fluid torque converter to the power input member of the first gear transmission mechanism. The torque converter, and the first gear transmission mechanism including the power input and output members thereof are all coaxial on a first axis. The power input and output members of the second gear transmission mechanism rotate around a second axis parallel to the first axis, and a first lay shaft element is coupled to this power input member and extends along this second axis out from one side of the second gear transmission mechanism and is rotationally coupled to the power output member of the first gear transmission mechanism by a rotational power transfer mechanism, while a second lay shaft element is coupled to the power output member of the second gear transmission mechanism and extends along this second axis out from the other side of the second gear transmission mechanism and is fixedly coupled to a power output gear wheel.
