    摘要: The sealed battery has a battery container (4, 5) and a power generating element sealed inside the battery container. The battery container is provided with a fill opening (12), an annular ridge (16), which extends around the entire circumference of the outer face surrounding the fill opening, and an annular indentation (15) on the inside of the inner wall surface of the annular ridge, and has a sealing cap (8), which fits into the annular indentation and covers the fill opening. The sealing cap is joined by being welded to the inner wall surface of the annular ridge around the entire circumference at the edge thereof. Since heat is not well transferred from the inside to the outside of the outer wall surface of the annular ridge, the effective thermal capacity during welding is mostly determined by the structure of the area inside the outer wall surface of the annular ridge. Consequently, the effective thermal capacity is nearly uniform independent of direction. Thus, it is possible to provide a sealed battery, a manufacturing method thereof, and vehicles and machinery in which the same is installed, wherein the opening can be closed under consistent welding conditions around the entire circumference.

According to the deflection yoke of the invention, a member having a pair of magnetic pieces disposed in the horizontal deflection direction is attached to an electron gun side of the deflection yoke. The shape of a part of each of ends of the member coincides with a part of the outer shape of the electron gun side of the deflection yoke. The adjusting person can easily set the member into the standard state by adjusting the parts with his/her fingers. By moving the member in the horizontal direction from such a state, misconvergence can be corrected.

    摘要: A system for assisting respiration which includes a flat, belt-shaped, tube made of rubber, and having a valve for introducing air. The flat tube has an outer side comprising a layer of a rubber sheet having a high modulus of elasticity and an inner side comprising a layer of a rubber sheet having a low modulus of elasticity, and is attachable to a part of a lower breast to an upper abdomen portion of a patient for intermittently pressing the part of the lower breast to the upper abdomen portion of the patient responsive to air being introduced into the flat tube. A belt, having a same width as that of the flat tube and a length longer than that of the flat tube, is laminated to the flat tube at the outside of the flat tube, and may have sheet fasteners at both ends thereof. A flow sensor detects inspiration and expiration of a patient, a compressor supplies compressed air to the flat tube during a period of inspiration of the patient, a pressure regulator regulates a pressure of the compressed air supplied to the flat tube, a valve is provided for increasing the pressure of the compressed air supplied to the flat tube, and a release valve is provided for releasing pressure in the flat tube at an early time in a period of expiration of the patient. A switchover valve may be provided for causing the compressor to supply compressed air to the flat tube during the period of expiration and for causing the release valve to release pressure in the flat tube at the start of inspiration.

    摘要: Disclosed is a sealed secondary battery provided with a current cut-off device which employs an inexpensive and uncomplicated construction, without the need to mount a separate current cut-off device on the battery body. A sealed secondary battery (10) comprises a battery casing (11) and a sealing plate (12), an electrode body (21) and current collecting plates (22, 22) provided on the inside of this casing (11). A contact section (11c) formed as part of the bottom (11a) of this battery casing (11) is bowed further inwards towards the negative electrode-side current collecting plate (22b) than the peripheral section of the bottom (11a) of this battery casing (11). At this contact section (11c), the inside face of the bottom (11a) of the battery casing contacts the current collecting plate (22b) at the negative electrode end, but this electrical contact between the contact section (11c) and the current collecting plate (22b) at the negative electrode end is cut off when outward swelling of the contact section (11c) takes place, produced by a rise in internal pressure in the casing in a sealed condition.

    摘要: A driving method for a plasma display panel is disclosed in which sustain pulses are alternately applied to a pair of display electrodes of plural discharge cells provided in the plasma display panel to generate a sustain discharge, thereby causing an image to be displayed on the plasma display panel. The sustain pulses include a two-crests discharge voltage waveform having two maximum values in which discharges are generated twice in a half cycle. The driving method includes consecutively applying the two-crests discharge voltage waveforms to the pair of display electrodes; and making a time until the second one of the maximum values of the subsequently applied two-crests discharge voltage waveform is clamped longer than a time until the second one of the maximum values of the initially applied two-crests discharge voltage waveform is clamped.
