    摘要： A portable electrofusion machine includes: a power supply circuit having a triac configured to have a proper regulation for dropping a commercial voltage to a voltage adapted for a fitting; and a printer unit integrated with the electrofusion unit, for printing information regarding a work result of the fitting. According to the above construction, since the electrofusion machine does not use a transformer occupying 40% of a total weight of the machine, the mobility and portability are enhanced. Also, since the size of the machine is reduced, it is advantageous to deal with the machine on the spot.

    摘要： A device for electronically seam fusing similar or dissimilar multiple polymeric materials by placing the materials between two opposing plates, wherein the plates have cooling tubes disposed within the plates and have the required combination of heating elements, non-stick heat barriers, and configuration enhancers disposed thereon. The opposing plates are then closed by a force which is regulated by a control feature which also governs the timing, length and temperature that is utilized by the heat elements and cooling tubes of the invention. Upon completion of the electronic seam fuse cycle, the multiple layers of polymeric materials are fused together, and separated if desired, thus creating a seam that is as strong or stronger than the individual material. The selection of seam fusing process parameters is determined by employing an optimization process that considers the impact each process parameter has in combination with one another. This ensures that desired output characteristics such as seam strength are obtained.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for adhesively bonding together in edge abutting relationship two sheets of woven, felted or other textile such as carpet using a joining tape which includes electrically conductive-metal foil or wires and an integral layer of heat softenable adhesive. Electric current is passed through the foil or wires to thereby heat and soften the adhesive. A control circuit senses the voltage and current in the foil or wires and controls the current in accordance with an adjustable predetermined value to heat the adhesive to a temperature at which the adhesive becomes tacky. The control circuit maintains the adhesive in the tacky state while the abutting edges which overlap the tape are adjusted as required to form the desired join. The control circult is then adjusted to increase the current in the foil or wires to increase the temperature thereof and melt the adhesive so that it flows into the material of the sheets. The current is terminated when the adhesive is fully melted so that the adhesive sets to bond the edge portions of the sheets to the tape.
