摘要: A high-chi diblock copolymer (BCP) for self-assembly comprises a first block comprising repeat units of trimethylsilyl styrene (TMSS) and styrene, and a second block comprising an aliphatic carbonate repeat unit. The blocks are linked together by a fluorinated junction group L′ in which none of the fluorines of L′ are covalently bound to an atomic center of the polymer backbone. A top-coat free film layer comprising the BCP, which is disposed on an underlayer and in contact with an atmosphere, is capable of forming a perpendicularly oriented lamellar domain pattern on an underlayer that is preferential or non-preferential to the domains of the block copolymer. The domain pattern can be selectively etched to provide a relief pattern comprising a remaining domain. The relief pattern having good critical dimensional uniformity compared to an otherwise identical polymer lacking the silicon.

摘要: Block copolymers (BCPs) for self-assembly applications comprise a linear fluorinated linking group L′ joining a pair of adjacent blocks. A film layer comprising a BCP, which is disposed on an underlayer and in contact with an atmosphere, is capable of forming a perpendicularly oriented domain pattern when the underlayer is preferentially wetted by one domain of an otherwise identical self-assembled BCP in which all fluorines of L′ are replaced by hydrogen. The BCP can be a low-chi or high-chi BCP. In a preferred embodiment, the BCP comprises a styrene-based first block, and a second block comprises a carbonate and/or ester repeat unit formed by ring opening polymerization of a cyclic carbonate and/or cyclic ester monomer. The linking group L′ has a lower surface energy than each of the polymer blocks.

摘要: Wet strengthened fiber products, wet strengthening resins, and methods for making such wet strengthened fiber products and wet strengthening resins. The wet strengthened fiber product can include a fiber web and an at least partially cured wet strengthening resin, which prior to at least partially curing, the wet strengthening resin can include a polyamide-epihalohydrin (PAE) resin and a cationic styrene maleimide (SMI) resin. The PAE resin can include a reaction product of a polyamidoamine and an epihalohydrin and the cationic SMI resin can include a reaction product of a styrene maleic anhydride (SMA) copolymer and an amine. The wet strengthened fiber product can include the wet strengthening resin in an amount of about 0.05 wt % to about 5 wt %, based on a dried weight of the wet strengthened fiber product.

摘要: Provided are methods for using compositions of matter which exist in a powdered, free-flowing form to which water is added preferable just prior to the time of use, to yield flowable liquid compositions which are spreadable, dispersible or sprayable onto various substrates. In some embodiments the free-flowing compositions contain water-soluble styrene/acrylic acid copolymers, and can surprisingly comprise relatively large amounts of water on the order of about 20% or more, while remaining in the form of a free-flowing powder prior to their combination with additional water to yield the spreadable, dispersible or sprayable liquid compositions. By the present disclosure, shelf life concerns are eliminated, as the compositions provided have an essentially indefinite shelf life, and transportation and handling ease are greatly increased over prior art compositions due to less weight by the absence of large relative quantities of water present in prior art compositions.

The flame retardant resin composition has improved flame retardant properties and flexibility and is used for coating a wire and a cable.
