Abstract:
Disclosed are magnetic nanoparticles and methods of using magnetic nanoparticles for selectively removing biologics, small molecules, analytes, ions, or other molecules of interest from liquids.
Abstract:
In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, a power inductor includes a body, at least two bases disposed in the body, at least two coil patterns disposed on the at least two bases, respectively, and a connection electrode disposed on an outer portion of the body and connecting the at least two coils to each other.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a non-destructive universal method of functionalization of graphitic carbonaceous materials that enables their alignment, cross-linking, and effective integration into composite materials.
Abstract:
In accordance with the present invention, novel superparamagnetic magneto-dielectric polymer nanocomposites are synthesized using a novel process. The tunability of the dielectric/magnetic properties demonstrated by this novel highly-viscous solvent-free polymer nanocomposite that is amenable to building 3D electromagnetic structures/devices by using processes such as 3D printing, compression molding or injection molding, when an external DC magnetic field is applied, exceeds what has been previously reported for magneto-dielectric polymer nanocomposite materials.
Abstract:
A system having preclinical emergency care modules which produce a complex condition-dependent control system that is as integral as possible in combination with a human emergency worker. At the system level, an intelligent decision-making system is provided which leads to measures that are optimized for the situation with and without the emergency worker. The modules exhibit a different behavior depending on the situation and interaction. In the process, the emergency worker can be utilized as an additional sensor/actuator module. Based on all obtained sensor data, which is weighted differently, decision-making support is proposed to the emergency worker, or the system. makes decisions automatically. The protected communication of the modules is of particular importance for this purpose.

Abstract:
Provided is a composite produced by processing a resin composition including a thermoplastic resin, bundle type carbon nanotubes and a reinforcing material. The carbon nanotubes have an ID/IG of 1.0 to 1.0 before the processing. The ratio of residual length of the carbon nanotubes present in the composite is from 40% to 99%. The composite has improved mechanical properties without deterioration of conductivity. With these improvements, the composite can be used to manufacture various molded articles.
Abstract:
Compositions comprising ferrosoferric oxide dispersed in a polymer matrix. Such compositions may exhibit properties suitable for achieving both resistive field grading effects and capacitive field grading effects e.g. in electrical stress control devices and surge arrestor devices. Such compositions may optionally include one or more capacitive field grading additives and/or conductive additives.
Abstract:
A nitrile rubber composition comprising 1,000 to 1,200 parts by weight of a magnetic powder having a compressed density of 3.4 to 3.7, based on 100 parts by weight of nitrile rubber, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, or a blend rubber thereof, the rubber having a Mooney viscosity ML1+4 (100° C.) of 20 to 50. The nitrile rubber composition that does not undergo deterioration of roll processability and adhesion to molds during product vulcanization even when a large amount (e.g., 1,000 parts by weight or more) of magnetic powder is added based on 100 parts by weight of nitrile rubber, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, or a blend rubber thereof.
