摘要: An antifouling thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) composition has a surface energy of from about 18 to about 26 mJ/m2. The antifouling TPU composition comprises the reaction product of: (A) a polyetherol; (B) a silicone polyol; (C) a chain extender different than said polyetherol and said silicone polyol; and (D) an isocyanate. An article comprising the antifouling TPU composition and having a surface with a 3-dimensional surface topography resistant to adhesion of organisms.

摘要: Polymer composition comprising a) an oligo- or polyurethane U of the formula (I) wherein k and n independently are numbers from 1 to 100, m is from the range 1-100, (X) is a block of formula (II) and (Y) is a block of the formula (III), (A) is a residue of an aliphatic or aromatic diisocyanate linker, (B) is a residue of a linear oligo- or polysiloxane containing alkanol end groups, and optionally further containing one or more aliphatic ether moieties, and (C) is an aromatic oligo- or polyarylene ether block that is at least partly etherified at its terminal positions with one alkylene glycol unit; or a mixture of such oligo- or polyurethanes; and b) one or more further organic polymers P selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyvinyl acetates, cellulose acetates, polyacrylonitriles, polyamides, polyolefines, polyesters, polyarylene ethers, polysulfones, polyethersulfones, polyphenylenesulfones, polycarbonates, polyether ketones, sulfonated polyether ketones, polyamide sulfones, polyvinylidene fluorides, polyvinylchlorides, polystyrenes and polytetrafluorethylenes, copolymers thereof, and mixtures thereof; preferably selected from the group consisting of polysulfones, polyphenylenes, polyethersulfones, polyvinylidene fluorides, polyamides, cellulose acetate and mixtures thereof.

摘要: A composition is disclosed, comprising a block copolymer, at least one homopolymer or copolymer of butene, and at least one olefin homopolymer or copolymer, wherein said block copolymer has hydrogenated low-vinyl polybutadiene end blocks with a specific gravity>0.85 g/cc, and a controlled distribution midblock of polyalkenyl arene/hydrogenated diene. Although the block copolymer has a preferred linear structure as a triblock copolymer, it may also be branched or radial coupled copolymer that has at least 2 arms or more. The composition is useful for rotational molding, slush molding, injection molding, extrusion or compression molding, or thermoforming or calendering for making articles that are resistant to chemicals such as diesel fuel, for the automotive market, for example. The MFR of the block copolymer is 1 to about 50 g/10 min. at 230° C., with a wt. of 2.16 kg.

The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a spherical core and at least one cover layer covering the spherical core, wherein when JIS-C hardness of the spherical core is measured at points located at distances of 0% (core center), 37.5%, 75.0% and 100% (core surface) from the core center of the spherical core, a hardness difference (Hs−Ho) between a surface hardness (Hs) thereof and a center hardness (Ho) thereof is 20 or more, a ratio ((H37.5−Ho)/(H75.0−Ho)) of a hardness difference (H37.5−Ho) to a hardness difference (H75.0−Ho) is 0.6 or less, and a compression deformation amount (D (mm)) of the spherical core and the 37.5% point hardness (H37.5) satisfy a relation of H37.5≦−9×D+95.

摘要: Disclosed are hydrogels polymerized with or around a solid biofunctional moiety, biodegradable or permanent, designed to be implantable in a mammalian body, intended to block or mitigate the formation of tissue adhesions, and intended to aid in functional healing. The hydrogels of the present invention are characterized by comprising multiphasic structural elements: a) at least one gel phase, b) at least one solid phase, c) optional polymeric chains connecting gel and solid phases, d) optional shape designs that provide for an interpenetrating geometry between gels and solids, e) optional shape designs that enhance a tissue-hydrogel interface, and f) optional shape designs that provide a biofunctional aspect. The hydrophobicity of the various phases is chosen to reduce tissue adhesion and enhance tissue healing. The morphology of the polymers comprising the gel phase is typically of high molecular weight and has morphology that encourages entanglement. Useful polymeric structures include branching chains, comb or brush, and dendritic morphologies.

In various embodiments, the present invention provides a tackifier compound including independently substituted or unsubstituted fused rings A and B each independently chosen from (C5-C10)cycloalkyl and (C2-C10)heterocyclyl.
