摘要: Provided is a new method of measuring an amount of movement of an animal. A measurement value of an animal as a measuring target is sequentially measured with a scale (21), an amount of change in the measurement value obtained in chronological order is calculated, and from division of the amount of change in the measurement value by a weight of the animal, an amount of movement of the animal is measured. Accordingly, weight differences between individual living bodies and in the process of breeding are eliminated, and an amount of movement of an animal based on changes in the weight of the living body can be measured.

摘要: An electronic monitoring device for attaching to an animal includes an NFC module facilitating wireless communication between a smart phone and the monitoring device, an accelerometer for monitoring acceleration of the head of the animal, and a microprocessor which determines various states of the animal from signals received from the accelerometer. The smart phone is programmed by a software application which allows an identifying code of the monitoring device to be read from the memory chip and cross-referenced in the smart phone with the identity of an animal, which can be inputted into the smart phone. Data relating to the states(s) of the animal can be read from the microprocessor through the NFC module into the smart phone. Additionally, data relating to the animal stored in a cloud server corresponding to the state or states of the animal is downloaded from the cloud server by the smart phone.

摘要: A wearable instrument is provided that measures biological information over an extended period of time by enabling an electrode to be readily pressed to an axilla of an animal. The wearable instrument includes: electrodes to be placed under the left and right axillae of a dog to produce an electrocardiogram; pull-up straps to be placed in direct contact with the axilla to press the electrodes onto the axilla; and a cinch strap placed across the anterior chest of the dog to draw the left and right sections of the pull-up strap together.

摘要: A cat-box litter-less liner product and method for managing cat excreta, in a cat box, without litter, comprising an impermeable liner with an affixed absorbent pad, which fits into and over the sides of a cat box in use, and forms a disposable bag after use, providing the cat with a place to urinate and defecate, without the spilling of any waste or other substance from the cat box during use or when removed and disposed of. This invention solves problems associated with the use of kitty litter in a cat pan, and provides a convenient and sanitary way to obtain stool and urine samples for health evaluation and analysis, and to regularly and periodically make quick visual inspections of the cat's excreta for early detection of health problems.

摘要: Provided are fully implantable soft medical devices and related methods. The devices comprise stretchable electronic devices between on an elastomeric substrate and an elastomeric super-state. Electronic components of the electronic device are configured to interface with tissue. Wireless power and control systems provide wireless power and control of the electronic components, thereby providing the fully implantable functionality. The devices may have a plurality of independently addressable electronic components, such as LEDs. In this manner, wireless control of a single implanted device may still provide multi-functional capabilities, including in a multiplexed configuration.

摘要: An equine performance tracking and monitoring system having real-time feedback may include a heart rate monitoring strap having a wireless transmitter, a wearable device, and a portable electronic device. Different components of the system may be connected by and/or information may be stored in a network. To measure the horse's heart rate, the disclosed systems may utilize a discrete-length heart rate monitoring strap having electrodes, one of which is positioned behind the left elbow of the horse. The horse's heart rate may be transmitted to the wearable device by the transmitter. The wearable device may include a sensor configured to measure the heart rate of the rider. The heart rate of the horse and the heart rate of the rider may each be presented to the rider, for example, via a display of the wearable device.
